1st entry for a long time and I need to revamp!

Alamak, it has been a long time since I blogged. AND AND I realised that my blog layout looks super childish, yes I was childish and girly in the past, now it is time to make my blog layout more "aunty" to suit my age.

The ~~reasons~~ excuses for not blogging for the past few years is because of several reasons.
1. Twitter is so convenient, but I hardly tweet nowadays..oops!
2. Lack of inspiration due to stressing over my tough engineering modules.
3. Lazy.

I am going to revamp this blog to make it look more CHAO LAO (auntyish and old).

But.. I need to remind myself to finish my 4 Technopreneurship Incubation Program(TIP) reports and work on my MATLAB program for my Final Year Report (FYP) before I design my chao lao blog layout.

Really sorry for not updating my blog because since I am a lazy person, twitter is more hassle-free and I can tweet anytime I want. Hence I think blogger should think of ways to target lazy people and users who prefer the shortest and fastest way out.

I have the urge to blog so many times because so many things happened and I told myself I need to blog about them but because I am a lazy faggot, hence I didn't bother. Tsk.

Today, I would like to introduce to you a special friend that I know and a person whom all Mechanical Engineering Year 3 students know.

We call this guy BESTFRIEND, I do not know why my university friend named him Bestfriend but he looks more like The Mole from Happy Tree Friends .

Why do I want to blog about him? Because I find him rather special.

Special No.1 : He resembles The Mole from Happy Tree Friends. About 80% alike!

The round spectacles, the oval body shape & a round head.
Personality wise, he is as cool as The Mole!

Special No.2 : He loves to rush to the lecturer during break time

I won't call him fat even though he is -.-, but I know that everytime he rushes down to speak to the lecturer for every lectures, it was as if a herd of ostriches galloped past us. After he ran, everybody in the lecture burst out laughing ... including me. It was uncontrollable.

Special No.3 : He loves to wear the same t-shirts.

Alot of my friends are curious why he often wears the same coloured clothes.

These are his favourite coloured t-shirts. More to pale lao sai colour and he loves dull colours.

I see him wearing this same old t-shirt at least 3 times a week!

Hence this is the actual bestfriend after photoshopping and making The Mole wears the favourite colour shirt. I liquify it a little to illustrate the size of Bestfriend too.

Since he always approaches me in school and I guess I am the only female friend he talks to in school, I asked him about his dress sense.

He said that he alternates 3 t-shirts to school. These t-shirts were bought by his mum. Why only 3 t-shirts?

This is his analogy. 1 for washing, 1 for wearing, 1 to be worn the next day. He doesn't see a need to wear so many different clothes and hates to think of what clothes to wear.

Special No. 4 : He unwittingly exposes his nude underwears & sometimes present to us with a little surprise - HIS BUTT CRACK

I wonder if he knows that his pants are lose. Even if they are lose, does he watch the way he squats down or sits? Because everytime he bends in lecture, he exposes himself to the whole lecture his nude underwear. If he bends further or squats, ta daa! you will get to see his butt crack!

P.S I think I will have a sore eye soon because while searching for butt crack in google images, I saw more m18 butt cracks! butt cracks with pubic hair!!! Oh my! MY EYES!

Special No. 5 : He mixes literature and soap operas in his conversations and when you hear it, at first you will get stunned by his words because they are really bombastic and then later you burst out laughing when you told your friends about what he said.

1st example. When I saw his facebook message, I was confused by what he meant. I mean what the hell did he mention about sliced bread. Maybe I do not have a higher level of language/literature hence I know nuts about what he is trying to illustrate. I asked Isaac, Jude and other friends, they don't even know what he meant!

I tried to be funny and told him, "Glad you love bread!" hahaa! Jude said that I am a cockster! haha.

2nd example. in MSN
Me: Can you bid for HR2002?
Mole: Nope, but apparently some people can bid for it
You and I are among the less fortunate
Me: HAR! You sure anot
Mole: so says the email sent by the school
but let us not sorrow in this, comrade
but instead find what joy we can in joint misery
Me: ...

I should reply like him, something like. "Oh my! I am dazed with incomprehension, could you speak with less mouthful of English?"

I wonder why he has to speak like as if he is reading out a novel or a literature text, it is a conversation between 2 person, not an essay speaking competition!

3rd example.
Mole: How much did you pay for the textbook?
Me: $14 instead of $16 because the aunty didn't know how to count money.
Mole: Wow, so it is a one self numeric calculative error?

One self numeric calculative error = count wrongly
I mean I don't understand why he likes to stun people with these languages when actually he can just say, "oh, so the auntie counted the money wrongly?"

I told Jude, Sam, Yan Jie they all and Isaac about it and they all laughed! Next time when your friends count wrongly or you counted your money wrongly, tell them that it is a ONE SELF NUMERIC CALCULATIVE ERROR. haha, they will be stunned!

I found a joke online about bombastic words.

A group of students ask their English professors the formula for effective speaking. The professor said,

"in promulgating your esoteric cogitations and articulating superficial, sentimental and psychological observations, beware of platitudinous ponderosity. HAHAH HILARIOUS! He advised the students to speak simply yet he used bombastic and lengthy words to explain his formula. In short it is just TALK SIMPLY la!

So is BESTFRIEND aka THE MOLE special? I didn't want to mention his name because he is a nice guy and helps me alot. But because of his unique personality and weird behaviour, I think I should "raise awareness" to my readers that there are people like this in the world!

A movie to watch in the cinema

I have been watching movies and dramas online on my laptop.

But for this particular movie that is coming soon at the end of this year, I will pay $6(student rate) to watch at the cinemas. I saw the trailer online and I love the special effects, so it will be better watching on full screen with high resolution.

Han Hyo Joo from Shining Inheritance

Shining inheritance is still fliming in Korea. I have watched 20 out of 28 episodes, episode 21 will be broadcasted in Korea next saturday.

Last week, the viewership ratings in korea for shining inheritance(40%) beat Boys Over Flowers(29%). I hope it hits 50% next week!

I really love the story line and the cast.

Han Hyo Joo is my new favourite idol and actress. She has won a few best actress awards and newcomer awards in Korea. She doesn't have any sharp features but the more you look at her, the more you think that she is pretty.

Face Transplant is never perfect

I have been hearing a few friends, my brother and people online that they will do a full face transplant because they are unsatisfied with their facial features and their complexion.

In fact, face transplant can never give you what you expected. Normally face transplant is for people whose faces are disfigured. Your face is not even disfigured why did you want to change your whole face?

Here are examples of people who each needs a face transplant. The final results even though are still not perfect but at least they are still pleasant to look at. But for you, I don't think you will want this result, as you expect to look like a beauty queen after a face transplant.

Your face is pleasant and you look better than anyone else, why are you still unsatisfied with your face?

Sanitary Pad = H1N1 mask

I saw some pushcarts and shops in shopping centres selling those blue paper mask. Many people have purchased them and companies have mass purchased those masks for emergency.

Today, as usual, I am still filing 30 years of documents, sales and purchase, mortgage, lawyer's letters and alot more related to property and real estate. I wanted to refill my stapler so I searched the whole "room".

Why room? This small company is actually in a small room. -.-

The whole place is dusty and after digging 30 years of documents, I have dust and dead insects all over my body. Most of the papers are yellow too. I think many girls will not like this job especially if you care alot about hygiene. I am a MAN, so I won't give up even if I think I should give up, I was given a challenge, so I must conquer it. Even my uncle bosses wonder if I am a man when they saw me carrying documents up to my face and told me, "Xiao Mei Mei, take little bit la, later your hand break, jialiat liao hor."

My hands had a lot of scratch marks too but they are not painful.

I opened a few drawers to find stapler bullets, while finding, I was surprised to find a drawer full of "sanitary pads"

haha, nope, those sanitary pads are actually MASKS.

But my first thought was, are those sanitary pads?

I saw this mask and I really think it looks like a liner or those Day Sanitary pad without wings. In this picture, it looks like those cold pads or those cold gel patch that you paste over your forehead when you have a fever.

With some curvature to the mask and some printed flowers, a sanitary pad is formed! Tadaa!

Then I had this disgusting thought.

Can a mask become a substitute for sanitary pads? Like maybe in the future, everybody has to wear a mask because the outbreak of H1N1 got so serious and the situation worsen.

Your period came but you have forgotten to bring your sanitary pad or liner, while thinking about what to do:

Tissue papers absorb too much water and get crumpled.
$2 note as a sanitary pad is super dumb unless you are that rich.
Heck care and reveal to the whole world that you are bleeding right there.

Use the mask on your face! Tang Tang!

It is not entirely made of paper and it has some waterproof layer on some parts of the mask.

This mask as shown below will be the most effective as a sanitary pad because it can collect alot more "goods" but please don't wear a tight jeans. You will look as if you have a huge toot in there.

Conversely, you can wear your sanitary pad as a mask. The 2 flaps can cover your nostrils and chin, what a great idea!

Really sorry for this nonsensical post, but you all should know that I can't stop my nonsense.

I realised Singlish is so funny...

Ok, it is only today that I found out that Singlish is hilarious! Why? I have been speaking singlish since young but why didn't I realise it was funny?

Today it was my first day at work in a company managed by uncles who are above 50 years old. Compared to the previous company that I have worked last week, this company has no pantry, no polar distilled water, but there are messy tables, insufficient office stationery and 2 computers...

My job scope is quite boring, I prefer my previous job when I am assigned to do so many different jobs and I love to reveal my full potential when I am working. Currently, this job which is just filing and data entry, there is a limited chance for me to gain experience or learn something new. Both jobs are $8 per hour, first job from an ANG MO company, this job from a SINGLISH cum HOKKEIN company.

I laughed alot today because I kept hearing the uncles bosses speaking broken english combine with chinese, malay and hokkein. In one sentence, I hear 4 different languages and dialects.

I wanted to ask them to audition for Jack Neo's movie because they can speak PERFECT SINGLISH. Even better than me! I should have recorded their conversations, you can laugh while scratching your backside, hoo haha hoo haha.

Many of you have heard this hilarious video about Singapore's singlish. But today I have heard even more funny singlish conversations!

I would like to give an example but I couldn't remember, even if I try to give an example it won't be funny because my uncle bosses still say it the best.

1st exmaple: Boss talking to Singapore Power
Uncle boss: Hello SP Power? My tenant hor dropped a wire from the 25th floor to the 18th floor, is illegal lah, then hor we want you to ask your people come check and tell him about the health, eh no the fire hazaard. We complain to the tenant no use, he want fight us, so we need you people hor to come help tell him la.

Singapore Power: Er..May I know who is that?

Uncle boss: Eh, sorlee sorlee, forget to say, haha. I am ******* from **********, so you can call those people come anot.

There are alot of sentences with hokkein (like lim bei and more..) and chinese but I have forgotten, will definitely memorise their funny sentences tomorrow.

Maybe it is the uncle accent that they have that makes singlish sounds funny, even if an ah beng speaks singlish, I doubt it would be funny. Uncle's singlish is still the best!

It is a huge jump from an ANG MO company to this company, my previous ang mo colleagues even asked me to teach them singlish, I think I should ask my uncle bosses to teach them instead! haha.

Loving the wrong things can make us evil

Love can make us beautiful but if you don't make good use of love, it can make you evil.

Love is the cause of all our emotions and actions

I have just finished watching a Japanese Drama - Absolute Boyfriend. yeah this drama is quite old, about 1 year back, but I really love the plot and I cried alot. LOL

I even cried before I slept yesterday because I could feel how the "love robot" felt, I felt like a fool crying over him but maybe because I have gone through the same experience as him hence I knew how it felt like to let go of somebody you love to the girl that he likes.

Then I was reading some newspaper articles online and found out that many offenders committed offences out of love.

Even killing someone is doing it out of love.

Even killing yourself is out of love.

Even raping someone is out of love.

I know my analogy is wrong and nobody has ever thought of these crazy thoughts, so you may not agree with me. But I think Love is the cause of all our emotions and all our actions.

1. Breaking up with your partner because of love.

a)You love somebody else hence you broke up with your ex-boyfriend.

b)You realised that your boyfriend was hurting you, but because you love yourself and you want to protect yourself, hence you opt for a break up.

c)You let go of him because he loves somebody else and you love to see him happy with the person he really loves.

d)You love money and materials but your boyfriend can't satisfy you, so you break up with him.

2. You committed suicide because of love.

a)Your boyfriend dumped you so you jumped. Love is the cause of your death. Dumped jumped. haha, it rhymes! haha I have created a new phrase, so next time when you read a report about a girl jumping to her death because she got dumped by her boyfriend, to cut short this sentence, you should ask, "HUH? She dumped jumped? har...so sad..." haha.

b)You realised that everybody hates you and nothing is going smoothly in your life, you wanted to vanish from the world to lessen everybody's burden by taking your life, an act of love.

c)You slashed yourself because you failed your exams and disappointed your mum whom you really love.

3. You kill somebody because of love.

a)You love Osama hence you try to kill Bush. I know this sentence sounds nonsensical but it is like a short summary about why there are terrorists in this world. haha, Jasmine the short-cut girl.

b)You killed somebody because you love your money, reputation and power. You hate him for pulling you down.

c)You killed a girl because you are jealous as she tried to steal your lover away from you.

4. You hurt people because you love hurting them, sometimes unintentionally.

a)You raped girls because you love their bodies and you love to satisfy yourself.

b)You love being showered with love and attention hence you play hard to get and hurt your boyfriend.

c)You love your children but you scolded them upside because you want the best for them.

There are more but I can't be bothered to list them anymore because I have used up half of my brain cells to think about this today. *pants pants

What I have listed down are negative emotions and actions resulted from love.

I didn't state about you being happy because you are being loved or you love somebody else or something pleasant happened to you, as this is an obvious statement.

Think about it, do you realise your everyday actions are all because of love? Because you love yourself, you love your friends, family and boyfriend hence you reacted this way?

You went on a date with another guy even if you are attached is also out of love because you love the thrill of flirting with guys or getting attention from guys.

Love is beautiful but at the same time it is love that makes us imperfect.

These are just some of my thoughts about love. I wonder if it makes sense to anybody who is reading this entry.

p.s: Try flipping the newspaper and you will realise many articles are all because of love, because the government loves us and loves money hence the introduction of programmes, a man killed a doctor who aborts babies because he is against abortion and he loves babies, lady gaga kept wearing nude stockings because she loves her fashion sense and more... go dig it out.

This entry is dedicated to Isaac, tons of pictures of him since the day we first met (2 years ago) until now.

When he first wooed me, he wasn't that good looking. As the years went by, he looks better and better!

Did he go through plastic surgery behind my back?

Definitely not plastic surgery, doesn't mean that somebody LOOKS GOOD means they have gone through plastic surgery.

I was an ugly duckling in secondary school and I am proud to say that I have evolved into a more pleasant looking lady. haha.

You should also check out Felicia's secondary school photos, she looked like some auntie with afro hair. You may think that she has gone through plastic surgery, but hell no, she is 100% natural and she looks extremely beautiful now compared to the past.

So please get this clear, people who are good looking may not be plastic.

I hate Isaac's fringe. Because I can remember that he used to tilt his head to the side so that his fringe can fall to one side. When I see him walking from far towards me, you can see his head tilted to one side as if he got a stroke.

Finally! Isaac shaved his head for National Service! I admit that this is the time when Isaac started to look good.

To become a hunk, you have to be tanned. In this picture, he is tanned, but now Isaac is whiter than me! Not fair.

SAO PAULO (AP) — A missing Air France jet carrying 228 people from Rio de Janeiro to Paris ran into a towering wall of thunderstorms over the Atlantic Ocean, officials said Monday, fearing that all aboard were lost.

The area where the plane could have gone down was vast, in the middle of very deep Atlantic Ocean waters between Brazil and the coast of Africa. Brazil's military searched for it off its northeast coast, while the French military scoured the ocean near the Cape Verde Islands off the West African coast.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy told families of those aboard that "prospects of finding survivors were very small." If all 228 were killed, it would be the deadliest commercial airline disaster since 2001.

Sarkozy, speaking at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport, said the reason for the disappearance remained unclear and that "no hypothesis" was excluded.

"(I met with) a mother who lost her son, a fiancee who lost her future husband. I told them the truth," he said.

Sarkozy said "it will be very difficult" to find the plane because the zone where it is believed to have disappeared "is immense." He said France has asked for help from U.S. satellites to locate the plane.

Chief Air France spokesman Francois Brousse said "it is possible" the plane was hit by lightning, but aviation experts expressed doubt that a bolt of lightning was enough to bring the plane down.

Air France's manager in Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Assuncao, told reporters that the two biggest groups of nationalities aboard were Brazilian and French. Other passengers were American, Angolan, Argentine, Belgian, British, Chinese, Filipino, German, Irish, Italian, Moroccan, Norwegian, Spanish and Slovakian.

Air France Flight 447, a 4-year-old Airbus A330, left Rio on Sunday at 7:03 p.m. local time (2203 GMT, 6:03 p.m. EDT) with 216 passengers and 12 crew members on board, said company spokeswoman Brigitte Barrand.

The plane left Brazil radar contact, beyond the Fernando de Noronha archipelago, at 10:48 local time (0148 GMT, 9:48 p.m. EDT), indicating it was flying normally at 35,000 feet (10,670 meters) and traveling at 522 mph (840 kph).

About a half-hour later, the plane "crossed through a thunderous zone with strong turbulence." It sent an automatic message fourteen minutes later at 0214 GMT (10:14 p.m. EDT Sunday) reporting electrical failure and a loss of cabin pressure.

Air France told Brazilian authorities the last information they heard was that automated message reporting a technical problem before the plane reached a monitoring station near the Cape Verde islands.

Brazilian Air Force spokesman Col. Jorge Amaral said seven aircraft had been deployed to search the area far off the northeastern Brazilian coast.

"We want to try to reach the last point where the aircraft made contact, which is about 745 miles (1,200 kilometers) northeast of Natal," Amaral told Globo TV.

Meteorologists said tropical storms are much more violent than thunderstorms in the United States and elsewhere.

"Tropical thunderstorms ... can tower up to 50,000 feet (15,240 meters). At the altitude it was flying, it's possible that the Air France plane flew directly into the most charged part of the storm — the top," Henry Margusity, senior meteorologist for AccuWeather.com, said in a statement.

Brazil's Navy said it was sending three ships to search waters about 1,100 kilometers (680 miles) from Natal.

Portuguese air control authorities say the missing plane did not make contact with controllers in Portugal's mid-Atlantic Azores Islands nor, as far as they know, with other Atlantic air traffic controllers in Cape Verde, Casablanca, or the Canary islands.

In Washington, a Pentagon official said he'd seen no indication that terrorism or foul play was involved. He spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the subject.

Sobbing relatives of people aboard the plane arrived at an airport in Sao Paulo to fly on to Rio de Janeiro, where Air France was assisting relatives. Andres Fernandes, his eyes tearing up, said a relative "was supposed to be on the flight, but we need to confirm it," Globo TV reported.

At the Charles de Gaulle airport north of Paris, family members who had arrived to meet passengers refused to speak to reporters and were brought to a cordoned-off crisis center.

Air France said it expressed "its sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the passengers and crew members" aboard Flight 447. The airline did not explicitly say there were no survivors, but allowed Sarkozy address the issue for them.

Air France-KLM CEO Pierre-Henri Gourgeon, at a news conference, said the plane's pilot had 11,000 hours of flying experience, including 1,700 hours flying this aircraft.

Experts said the absence of a mayday call meant something happened very quickly.

"The conclusion to be drawn is that something catastrophic happened on board that has caused this airplane to ditch in a controlled or an uncontrolled fashion," Jane's Aviation analyst Chris Yates told The Associated Press. "Potentially it went down very quickly and so quickly that the pilot on board didn't have a chance to make that emergency call."
But aviation experts said the risk the plane was brought down by lightning was slim.

"Lightning issues have been considered since the beginning of aviation. They were far more prevalent when aircraft operated at low altitudes. They are less common now since it's easier to avoid thunderstorms," said Bill Voss, president and CEO of Flight Safety Foundation, Alexandria, Va.

He said planes have specific measures built in to help dissipate electricity along the aircraft's skin, and are tested for resistance to big electromagnetic shocks and equipped to resist them. He said the plane should be found, because it has backup locators that should continue to function even in deep water.

If all 228 people were killed, it would be the deadliest commercial airline disaster since Nov. 12, 2001, when an American Airlines jetliner crashed in the New York City borough of Queens during a flight to the Dominican Republic, killing 265 people. On Feb. 19, 2003, 275 people were killed in the crash of an Iranian military plane carrying members of the Revolutionary Guards as it prepared to land at Kerman airport in Iran.

The worst single-plane disaster was in 1985 when a Japan Air Lines Boeing 747 crashed into a mountainside after losing part of its tail fin, killing 520 people.

Airbus would not further comment until more details emerged.

"Our thoughts are with the passengers and with the families of the passengers," said Airbus spokeswoman Maggie Bergsma.

She said it was the first fatal accident of a A330-200 since a test flight in 1994 went wrong, killing seven people in Toulouse.

The Airbus A330-200 is a twin-engine, long-haul, medium-capacity passenger jet that is 190 feet (58.8 meters) long. It is a shortened version of the standard A330, and can hold up to 253 passengers. There are 341 in use worldwide today. It can fly up to 7,760 miles (12,500 kilometers).

Rick Kennedy, a spokesman for GE Aviation, expressed doubt that the engine was at fault. He said the CF6-80E engine that powered the Air France plane "is the most popular and reliable engine that we have for big airplanes in the world." He said there are more than 15,000 airplanes flying in the world with that engine design.

Somehow I think all 228 passengers have died, they are either in the ocean or in another dimension if there is a new bermuda triangle.

However there is a 1% chance that all of them stay alive in the plane. Most probably floating on the ocean waiting to be rescued. They can't still be in the air because they have definitely run out of fuel.

Actually I do believe in that 1% miracle and I hope it will come true because I have seen real life testimonies of people experiencing miracles that seem so impossible.

Britains Got Talent 2009 lots of sympathy votes

Just because you are 10 years old, you are given a chance to sing one more time because you screw up for the first time during the semi-finals yesterday in UK.

1st failed attempt - Hollie Steel cried halfway when she became too nervous on stage and forgot her lyrics. She asked for a second chance but the producers said there wasn't any time for her to sing again, but because she was crying helplessly, Simon overruled the producers and said: "Hollie, I don't care how we find it, but we will find the time somewhere."

2nd attempt that wowed judges

A 10 year old girl cried halfway during her act and she was given a second chance.

If a 70 year old man also cried halfway during his act, he may be given a second chance.

But if a 25- 30 years old man cried halfway during his act, he will not be given a second chance.

This show is about finding the best talent and voting for the best performer. Why should there be sympathy votes?

But usually people who voted the performer out of sympathy, they knew that the performer will not win the show but just voted as they "pity" that contestent who cried over spilled milk. Then if you know she is not going to win? Why still waste your money on sympathy votes?

I think Britains Got Talent should have an age limit or have another show such as Britains Kids Got Talent.

Britains Kids Got Talent will have audience witnessing many cry babies in the show. haha.

It is a competition, when is there such thing as a second chance? Just because you cried and screwed up your lyrics, initially many people feel for you but later they realise they are doing it out of sympathy and not because of how you fair.

So many great performers are voted off during the show because they are not kids or they are not old. The judges especially Amanda gave great comments to performers who are either very young or very old.

This 73 year old man did breakdancing, it is not breakdancing at all, I find him very brave and do respect him but since we are looking for a real talent and not entertainment, he should not get through the audition.

Let me predict who will win Britains Got Talent 2009 today.

Singapore's First H1N1 case

Singapore has confirmed its first case of Influenza A (H1N1).

The patient is currently being treated at the Communicable Disease Centre at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and is in stable condition.

The patient is a 22-year-old Singaporean woman who was in New York from May 14-24. She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 on 26 May at 6.30am. She was seated at Row 55. .
She began to develop a cough while onboard. She passed the thermal scanner uneventfully as she did not have fever then.

Later in the morning, she consulted a GP who decided to send her to TTSH via a 993 ambulance, given her travel history.

She was immediately admitted for testing. Laboratory confirmation of her infection was made by midnight of 26 May.

The patient has been vigilant in monitoring her own condition and had sought immediate medical attention once she realized that she was unwell.

Her attending GP, through his quick response in activating the 993 ambulance for the patient, had also helped to minimize the spread of infection from this case.

The Health Ministry says it has initiated contact tracing of her close contacts. They will be quarantined and provided with antiviral prophylaxis.

Passengers who had travelled in the same flight and were seated in rows 52 to 58 are urged to call the hotline at 1800-333 9999 to enable the MOH to check on their health condition.

What is so great about playing with 4D, you are wasting money away. My parents do gamble and play with 4D, I don't like it because it is really addictive. It is based on pure luck, so when they won, they assumed that they are lucky, then they bet bigger.

Nobody is concerned about the situation, nobody is concerned about the victim, or rather only a few people pray that she will get well.

Honestly, I am excited but not happy about the first confirmed H1N1 case in Singapore, however I am still concerned about the victim as well as my family members, loved ones and friends. Hence, I mass messaged my family and my friends to tell them to be alert and also showed concern to them. They replied "Thank you, Jas!" I felt really good about it.

Boring love life? I am the problem

I admit that there was a period of time when I was bored of Isaac. It might be because I see him once a week or maybe the people around me each has an "exciting"boyfriend.

Please call me a bitch because I said Isaac is boring.

Please call me a liar because I did not practise what I preach. If you have read my blog often, I said that we should keep renewing our love to keep the relationship alive.

It is really not easy to renew your love for someone everyday. I am no longer having my honeymoon period with Isaac, we are 25 months together, so there is a tendency that we don't do things that are romantic anymore.

Do you remember I used to blog that Isaac often came to my house downstairs to look at me before he went home?

He surprised me frequently and I loved looking out of my window, waving and smiling at him who is 11 storeys below me.

He no longer does that or rather decided to stop doing this.

I am not saying that he is not putting in effort in this relationship to renew our love for each other, because I realised I am the major problem in this relationship.

I need to change because I am too easily influenced by the media featuring the perfect love life and maybe I envy my friends' boyfriends.

1. I expect too much from Isaac
I do have friends who receive gifts and flowers frequently, I told Isaac that it was a waste of money, but when I got emo at night, I tend to envy friends who are showered with gifts.

Isaac knew that I wanted to be pampered but at the same time I did not want him to touch any of his savings. So sometimes I am in a dilemma, gifts are temporary hence Isaac should save for our marriage(if we still can last that long).

But I do not why I am that impatient.

Currently, you want to enjoy life, but you have to tell yourself that if you enjoy now, you may not have enough money to enjoy in the future which supposedly is the right time to spend.

Isaac requested to buy gfits for me, I was so happy. However a few hours later, I realised gifts are temporal, they cannot last and it just to make me happy for the moment. With this thought, I told Isaac not to buy anything for me but just save the money or rather find a substitute.

About substitutes, these few days I have been thinking about substitues.

Fish and Chips at Swensons? about $13++ (not sure, I am a hawker food person, so I have not been to swensons for about 1 year+)

or famous fish and chips at Ang Mo Kio Vincent Western Hawker Food? $5.50

Think about this 2 scenarios.

Swensons has great ambience and is an air-conditioned restaurant, you will be tempted to be served by the staff and you also assumed that they will serve you good food. If I am eating in that restaurant, initially I will feel really happy but after the dinner, I have this sense of guilt and regret.

In my mind, "Eh, jas, actually Ang Mo Kio $5.50 fish and chips is cheaper, taste better and has a huge serving, why did you waste your money on Swensons? Please think of substitutes before you splurge can?"

This sense of guilt and regret is fcking irritating. I have 5 sense organs and it is enough, adding this 6th sense is driving me crazy.

I think if I tell you about the next example, you might think that I am a real cheapskate.

In a hawker centre, I choose and buy food that I myself cannot cook or I think that the food is not easy to cook, because it is more worth it. When I feel it is worth it, I feel happy.

Why waste money on porridge when I myself know how to cook. Now I know how to cook curry chicken, so why waste that money to buy curry chicken from hawker centre since I think that my curry chicken is the best.

I know this is too extreme, but I can't help it, I have this 6th sense inside of me that is super active.

This 6th sense is the major problem why I MAKE my love life boring. Because of me, I expect alot from Isaac, I want something from him BUT at the same time my 6th sense tells me that I won't be happy if Isaac spends on me.

SO WTF JASMINE?

If anybody is willing to smash my I-think-too-much brain, please do so, because I really hate that 6th sense.

How I really wish that I am an innocent, dumb, naive, ignorant child, so that I have nothing to worry about.

2. Because of money, I only want to see Isaac at least once a week.
I substituted love for money. why?

Going out with Isaac means spend money on food or movies. Even though we still eat hawker food or watch $6 movies, it is still money wasted. Hence I rather stay at home, cook or eat mixed rice which my parents often buy back for dinner.

Going out means spending on transportation fees. You may think that public transport fees are cheap, but if you calculate, you are actually spending about $100 a month.

So I spend lesser time with Isaac, but every friday he still comes to my house to stay over. Staying over at my house is cheap, because we watched all the latest movies online.

I love watching movies online with Isaac, LATEST MOVIES or movies that have yet to be screened in Singapore. The quality is superb and we can eat our own favourite snacks, discuss loudly or laugh loudly about the movie, pause the movie or rewind.

My mother often cooks lunch for us hence with him staying at my house every week, we need not spend any money! hoho, so happy.

But maybe because every week we are doing the same things, hence it tends to get a little routinary.

Again, I am the problem, because of money I caused my love life to be boring, I restricted Isaac from showering his love for me.

I need to fix this, but because I kept reflecting and thinking about my daily actions, people and my life, that I try to be "perfect" at the expense of love.

Zhao Lin, Chun Peng, Nicholas.
Zhao Lin may be short but God is fair, his brain is more developed than anyone else, he is a super fast learner and he helps you wholeheartedly, that is why so many people ask him questions. He still smiles and he will check on you whether you still know how to solve the problem.
When he sees that you are still stuck at the question for a long time or when you started showing signs that you are going to die from that problem, he will approach you and ask if you needed help. Yan Jie and I owe Zhao Lin our lives, if one day I become more successful than my friends, I will help my friends no matter what.

Yan Jie is single and looking for a lady who is feminine, understanding and polite. Yan Jie is somewhat polite, sincere and is also a gentleman, he may not be doing well in his studies, but he treasures friendship, family more than anything else. You can tell he is not the materialistic kind of person and he will work hard to reveal his full potential. All of us feel the pressure of studying harder when we see the way Yan Jie studies. Because you can see how he keeps practising and scribbling on rough paper and he can focus on his work for a long time.

This "psychologist", Chun Peng, loves to analyse people's personality and also I call him the "zao xia" person. Because when he speaks, he kind of speak off "tune", it is really hilarious.

Rubik cube expert, he can solve it within 2 minutes or less! Isaac learnt alot of Rubik Cube tricks and tips from Chun Peng when Isaac came to NUS to give me moral support when all of us were studying. Isaac also bought chicken wing rice from clementi for the 7 of us at NUS library on one of the Sundays, thank you darbee =))

Nicholas on the left is a pleasant guy who knows how to organise and handle his commitments and studies very well. When he can't solve a problem, he will get piss off with himself. When you tell him a joke, he can laugh until his cheeks turn red.

Chun Peng can't sing at all. But it was true entertainment when he sung Jay Chou songs, haha. I hate Jay Chou and his songs because I think he is like a monk chanting his lyrics, does Jay Chou ever open his mouth wider to pronouce the words clearly?

Jian Cong! Does he ever gets angry with people? He is the mediator among us and sometimes when Jude and I scream and quarrel, he will come in between us to calm both of us down. We call him the Chicken Little because of his eyes and hairstyle. He teaches needy children tuition for free and is also a guitarist in New Creation Church engineering caregroup. I can't thank him enough for teaching me so many times and telling me some gospels to encourage me. I had lots of fun singing together with my friends! I can't wait to sing with my sisters tomorrow =))

Reflections and things to remember by hard

These are some reflections about life that we all should remember to be sensitive to other people's feelings.

I have collected these few "things" to remember by hard when I was on the bus to school or back home. It is so fun to reflect about life or about people, and the best time is to reflect when you have nothing to do.

1. When somebody is angry, leave them alone.

Reason: They are too frustrated to listen to anybody.

Solution: Their mind is already filled with angry thoughts, wait for their brain to be spongy again to absorb more advices when they are feeling calm.

Repercussion: If you aggravate the siuation by acting like you know how to solve the situation at the time when the person is angry, you will be flamed.

2. When somebody is sad, console them. (Actually everybody responds differently when they are sad, I have yet to figure out why. Being sad is the most complicated feeling, unlike angry, angry means angry, sad=mixed feelings)

Reason: They feel alone, they feel like they are the only one with these problems, they feel helpless.

Solution: Do not over sympathise the person, do not sweet talk so much false hopes for the person, but just listen to her and agree to her. Tell her that you are there to support her and help her, let her know that she is not alone.

Repercussion: If no one consoles the victim, she will feel like she doesn't have friends who care about her. When somebody is sad, they feel the loneliest, give her warmth.

3. If your close friend is not acting normally, whatever facial expression she shows to you is actually the opposite of what she is actually feeling. She smiles at you but she is actually feeling sad.

The most difficult thing is to detect a sad person. Easy to detect an angry person but not a sad person. Angry people are quite expressive but people who are sad tend to hide their feelings.

Reason: They don't want their friends to worry for them. They think that they can settle it by themselves.

Solution: If you can detect people who are having this split personality, leave them alone, they want you to know they are actually happy so pretend that you don't know she is sad. Talk to her normally and cheer her up =))

Repercussion: She will deny that she is feeling sad and said you are misunderstanding her.

4. Even if you are not close to your school mate or friend still wave, smile or say hello.

Reason: Widen your social circle, who knows they might help you in future even if they are not close to you.

Solution: Acknowledge them by waving, bowing your head a little, smile or say hello.

Repercussion: Once you forgot or didn't say hello to your friend, both of you will not acknowledge each other from then onwards.

5. Break away from having frenemies. Everyone will have enemies who are disguised as friends.
I chose Betty and Veronica because I think they are one great example of frenemies. Don't you agree? I love Archie Comics when I was young!

Reason: You will become more pretentious, and the way you talk to them will make you feel very fake. That feeling sucks.

Solution: Both of you know that you are in the frenemy relationship, stop backstabbing each other and stop gossiping untruth rumours about each other. Respect your friend and be sincere to her, she will gradually accept you and you have just made a new friend.

Repercussion: The hatred will always be there, you keep gossiping about her to your friends, you may not know that one day your friends may backstab you and side with her. That will hurt.

From point 1 to point 5, add in optimism for every situation, positive thinking = happy living.

There are alot more in my mind, but I am afraid it will be too boring and lengthy, hence will blog about it next time.

By the way, my exams are over, hence I can resume blogging everyday and start to find a part-time job, any lobang??

Birthday Celebration a headache

This saturday is my 21st birthday party, I have lots to prepare, I have exams around the corner, I am stressed.

I am blogging less but I really wish for May to come so that I can start blogging everyday again.

I have so many thoughts in my mind everyday, I get all these inspirations in the bus on the way to school or home or when I met a crisis or when I read the daily news, but I have no chance to pen in down or type it out because I have alot of unneccessary tasks to do.

My priorities! I need to reset it and keep in mind my priorities.

Studies.

Heartburn! losing weight!

I can't swallow food or drink water! Whenever substances get through my throat, I feel the pain. I kept burping too... seems like there is alot of air in my stomach.

Heartburn or pyrosis is a painful and burning sensation in the esophagus, just below the breastbone usually associated with regurgitation of gastric acid. The pain often rises in the chest and may radiate to the neck, throat, or angle of the jaw.

Sometimes I couldn't breathe properly too, I have to gasp for air to breathe.

For 4 days, I wasted food, I have become the slowest eater.

I have a motto for myself that is not to waste food. Even if I am full, I will force myself to finish the food from my plate. Among my girlfriends, I ate the fastest.

I think I am losing weight too because I eat less now. Oh no...rag bone Jasmine.

I need to gain weight after I am well again. 43kg is damn pathetic! 48kg here I come! I was watching this korean drama and I saw this actress who looked so good, her arms are so fleshy and toned, her thighs are meaty yet super toned too! I dont' have the money to apply for gym membership but I am really going to exercise and keep training!!!

She exercises alot and is voted as the most healthy artist in Korea. She has the perfect face and figure... ah! I like her in the variety show We Got Married, she is so pretty! I love her songs too such as Crazy and Saturday Night.

Look at those firm arms!

Her legs are so toned! My thighs are wobbling wherever I go.

I am going to see a doctor tomorrow, hopefully he diagnosed me with heartburn and not throat ulcer or tumour or cancer.

Relief is often found by raising the head of the bed, raising the upper body with pillows, or sleeping sitting up.

Sleep sitting up? I will end up lying down. haha.

If you look ugly, it doesn't matter to me, I will still look at you.

If you stink really really bad, it MATTERS TO ME and I will try to stop breathing just because of you!

Anybody knows what is the word to describe my hatred for smelly people? Definitely not racist or sexist or yada yada.

On the way to school in Bus 151, I sat beside an uncle who sat cross-legged with the legs leaning against the backrest of the seat infront of him. Hence his feet were exposed.

Ok, in the first place, why did I sit beside him when I have already seen him sitting "abnormally"?

Ans: I didn't want to stand up for the next 20 minutes and the seat beside the smelly uncle was the only seat that was unoccupied.

OH MY GOSH!

FAINTS!

HELP!

I frowned immediately because the uncle beside me was so smelly!

Ok, how do I describe?

The smell was a mixture of washed-clothes-that-are-not-sunned + dead-rats-which-just-drank-bombay-sapphire-gin + smelly-tofu-rubbed-against-sweaty-armpits.

The 2 girls sitting on the chair beside me were staring at me as if they knew nobody wanted to sit beside him or there were wondering how come I DIDN'T SMELL ANYTHING!?!

I did smell. I endured. I suffered inside. I stopped breathing for a while.

I gasped for fresh air but it turned out to be foul air.

When will this smelly uncle alight? Uncle, please alight soon.

10 minutes later, I could feel that my face was turning green after breathing in the polluted air.

A lady sitting diagonially infront of me left the seat as she was about to alight. I was so tempted to change seat.

But later, I had this thought that the smelly uncle might come after me. Like strangle me and say,

" WO HEN CHOW SI MAH! SI SAM BA! NI CHOW CHI ***!" (in singlish, it means, I am very smelly is it? Die bitch! You smelly virg....!)

I shrugged off that thought but I still succumbed to my cowardly mentality and kiasiness, I... I...

I... still sat beside the smelly uncle. GUA GUA GUA~~~

AH.....thinking about it now, I am so stupid, I should have just changed seat or pretend to alight and stand at the rear of the bus right? *slaps myself.

After 15 minutes, I still smelt it, but finally he stood up! I gave way and finally I have the seat to myself!

Usually, being a considerate passenger, I always sit right inside next to the window, but this time round I didn't, the seat was kind of "contaminated" to me hence I didn't move in. Please pardon me to those NUS students standing up in the bus. =x

When something looks unpleasant, you can close your eyes and not see it.
When something tastes unpleasant, you can spit it out.
When somethins smells, smell it. BO BIAN.

You are given a nose to breathe and smell. If you choose not to smell means you are not breathing and you may die.

You can't choose not to smell but still breathe.

The most famous drama still airing in Korea is Boys Before Flowers. It is not just the pretty boys and cute girls but about friendship, relationship and life's decisions.

Kim Hyun Joong as Ji Hoo, the supporting actor. I love him from the previous reality show We Got Married. I can understand why Shi Yun loves pretty boys.

I idolise people who have their own flair, he has the X factor. Girls with long silky hair usually have their unqiue style. Girls with great walking posture, have great flair too, they look stunning! Girls with that black geeky spectacles, they looked so good in it, they are able to exude their own personal style. I think chioness is not just a pretty face, it is the unqiue flair that one has.

Many korean actresses and singers have comitted suicide, due to anti-fans, they are also unsatisfied with their looks and alot more relating to the entertainment industry.

Somehow korean dramas are totally different from Mediacorp dramas, there are hidden meanings behind the story that the korean actors are portraying, there isn't a need for them to tell you what they are trying to do.

It hurts even more if you can't tell somebody how you actually feel.

Singapore dramas - Straightforward direct actions and words that you can understand right at the spot, I watch these shows for fun, sometimes the shows are rather stupid, but I still watch with my family.

They filmed a few months before the launch of the drama.

Korean dramas - Indirect or hidden actions to express their feelings, keeps you thinking how the characters feel. That confusion, that pain, I can feel it.

Boys Before Flowers is broadcasted every monday and tuesday, hence from wednesday to sunday, the actors will be rushing through to film for the next episode that will be broadcasted on the following monday and tuesday.

Every episode of the korean dramas are filmed 1 episode earlier. They need money earned by the previous episodes to film the next episode and also the actors can improve their acting skills by reading in forums and join talk shows to promote their drama.

The bad thing? If one of the lead actress gets hurt, they have to postpone the episode. Some other korean dramas didn't even complete all the episodes because the lead actor met up with a car accident on the 3rd episode, hence unable to act anymore. That drama just ended at the 3rd episode. Tsk tsk...

Hongkong dramas are good too, I love shows that forced you to think why the character is doing this for himself or to other people.

Canon EOS 450D

My 21st birthday present from my parents, a SLR for me.

It was a surprise hearing from my father that he wanted to buy a SLR for me. I have blogged about it before saying that I wanted to buy a SLR for my shop and myself. I didn't expect my parents buying it for me first.

I am going to attend a 2 hours canon product training at the end of march and also I can't wait for Jude to impart his photography skills to me. He is using a Canon 30D, a pro SLR, he said that he can lend me his "pro" lenses since I am using a Canon SLR too.

My father has read alot of online reviews and follow the forums about SLR and lenses hence beside having EF18-55 lens, he also purchased EF 50F1.8II, I think the latter lens is better, I took some pictures with the different lenses and notice the quality of the pictures and the focus is much better with 50F1.8II.

My Canon EOS 450D sleeping in the dry box, humidty level should be kept between 40-50.

Very light and compact. Luckily I didn't buy Nikon or Sony, they are heavy...

After a break up, both parties involved should take a break and reflect on themselves and also on their relationships.

A few months or years alone after a break up will definitely make you a better and mature person as compared to being overly quick to commit to a new partner after having experienced an upsetting breakup.

Use the cooling off period to develop your character, make more friends, widen your social circle and find out more about yourself.

Most of the time in a relationship, after being too tied down, a person may feel that he or she does not know herself. Who am I? What am I?

Honestly, I don't practise what I preach. I got into my second relationship 6 months after my first junior college boyfriend dumped me.

But during that 6 months, I made alot of friends, spend quality time with my bestfriends, find a job, volunteer at a hospice center, got my driving license, went to church frequently and most importantly is that I kept reflecting about life and myself whenever I was in a bus, before I slept and whenever I had nothing to do. That is why my friends said that I think ALOT.

I joined forums and learnt about other people's lives, I heed advices and even solved relationship problems and other related problems for the forumers.

Looking at construction workers when I am sitting in a bus and just wonder about their lives. Looking at couples and just thinking why are they so loving.

When I got together with Isaac, my motto for our relationship is "Renewing Love". Nobody tells me about this but I just found out myself what is the best for a relationship.

However... I realised that after being too busy with studies, tubee, drama shows, I have stopped going to forums, church and yes blogging...

I have blogged lesser.

I blogged almost everyday during the last few years as I love to reflect about what is happening around me and blogged it out to share with everyone.

The more I stopped reflecting, the more I realised I am losing myself.

I need to find myself again.

What happened if you eat ants??

I ate a bread infested with ants.

Unwittingly!

Early in the morning today, I woke up and brushed my teeth but I was still sleepy, I didn't eat my kaya bread immediately because I wanted to sleep a little while longer.

A few minutues later, I groped for my bread with my eyes half-closed.

Usually I take about 2-3 bites to finish my bread.

So my first bite of the kaya bread was a huge one. I ate half of it.

2 seconds later,

my mouth started to get itchy, I can feel something crawling out of my mouth and around my cheeks and face. I just flicked off whatever that was moving on my face.

Another 2 seconds later,

my hand which is holding onto the piece of kaya bread started feeling itchy and I felt like as if I was holding onto an ant's nest.

I opened my eyes and screamed .....silently.

No real pictures but these are some exaggerated pictures I found in the net, the ants in my bread are definitely not that big, just small black ants.

WTF! Ants were crawling out of the bread and onto my hands and arms. I threw the bread onto the plate and ran to the kitchen to spit out the half-chewed bread from my mouth.

I swallowed the remaining bread that was stuck onto my teeth and maybe swallowed the corpses of the ants. Rest in peace in my tummy. I'm sorry I didn't know I "was eating you and your brothers"

I went back to check the bread and was utterly disgusted because more ants came to attack the bread, I threw the bread away immediately.

Recalling about what happened in the morning made me shiver with disgust. I can't believe I ate ants. 1 ant is fine, but many ants is not fine at all.

What happened if you eat ants?

I have experimented it and will share with you the results.

Diarrhoea.

I had diarrhoea and used the toilet 3 times.

Moral of the story: Watch what you are eating.

I remembered drinking a cup of milo to find a dead cockroach at the bottom of my cup!!! AH! ahha, but that happened eons ago. haha. It was because I left my milo on the table for awhile. haha, my fault.

2nd moral of the story: Eat your food immediately.

Destress myself with these funny pictures

I have been facing alot of problems lately, my shop website "crashed", photobucket bandwidth has exceeded, all the pictures were replaced with their fugly blue and white logo, they will activate my photos again on 5th March when they reset the bandwidth.

On wednesday, I paid a blogger to advertise for tubee, then on thursday photobucket bandwidth has exceeded. Many people who are new to my website could not view the pictures at all, they will think that my shop is like a "JOKE" to them.

I can understand why the bandwidth exceeded, because I found out that there are 150 000 clicks on tubee pictures, if so many people click on the pictures or save the pictures, the bandwidth will exceed and photobucket will replace all the pictures with their fugly logo encouraging us to save the situation by purchasing their photobucket pro for unlimited bandwidth.

NO way! I won't buy your photobucket pro at all, there was no warning or whatever until the day when you have decided to replace my pictures with your logo.

My supplier who is just 2 years older than me advised me to set up more than 5 photobucket accounts. I went to research online and check forums and found out that there are some people who are called "hotlinkers" who will purposely keep clicking on your pictures to "crash" your site, so that all your pictures will be "gone". *Hotlinker grins

For 2 days we have been tyring to save the situation by setting up many photobucket accounts, reupload the pictures and relink the html links in tubee.livejournal . I am so stressed because I have midterms next week but I only save 50% of my shop... My shop now doesn't even have a logo, actually there is a logo, .... photobucket logo.

I'm tired...

I'm stressed...

I am planning to study until 10pm everyday in NUS library, so if I reach home at 11pm, I still have clothing to wash, boil water and iron clothes. 1st movie: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Me: 4/5 Stars

I thought becoming younger each day is in everyone's wish lists, but from this film, I realise it is the most painful process. I pity Benjamin, pity him for not being able to fufill his duties as a father and husband, for being teased at when he was young and for not being able to go through a childhood life.

The movie is indeed meaningful and I think the producers and the team behind this film have done a good job especially making the visual effects of this flim.

I watched this show with Isaac, it was a 3 hours movie hence I can understand why Isaac fell asleep during certain parts of the movie, haha.

*Note: Please pee and shit before you watch a movie. Isaac could not get out of the theatre (exit door was locked), so he had to control his bladder until the show ended. A lesson learnt for poor Isaac.

Brad Pitt fans will love the young look of Brad Pitt. I was at first disgusted by the old and ugly-looking Benjamin.

About 50 years later, screams OMYGOSH! That biker jacket on Young Brad Pitt, which girl wouldn't scream?

That muscles! drools~ but I still love Brad Pitt's body in The Troy. haha. super hot!

Me: 4/5 stars

Ivan recommended this show to me and he said this movie is so much better than the curious case of benjamin button.

At first I didn't want to watch Slumdog Millionaire not because I am a racist, but more like I am afraid I can't understand their accent.

Most Indians each has an English accent that are totally so hard to understand. My Fluid Mechanics lecturer is an indian, and I hate his lecture the most. He speaks too fast and he doesn't open his mouth to pronounce the words clearly, it was as if he was muttering to himself.

Jude had to raise his hands twice and shout to the indian lecturer to speak slowly and loudly.

Ivan kept complimenting about this film, so I have decided to watch this show. I organised the movie outing and dinner with my cousins, but they are the ones who offered to pay for the movie, dinner and alse sent us home =x I told them I will treat their kids to movies in future, haha.

Recommend my cousins and my brother my favourite restaurant, Terra Cafe!

Why I dislike this movie?

Not funny, act lame act funny but not funny! I rolled my eyes when goofy Steve(main actor) tries to make a fool of himself.

A man behind me kept laughing, he laughed as if his lungs were vibrating against his rib cage. He enjoyed the show but I didn't. I think I did laugh, maybe for a while then later I realise I find myself quite stupid to laugh at something that is actually not funny.

The plot is ridiculous and the ending sucks.

Don't watch this movie unless you want to see a Pink Panther 3.

Bugis terroist attack SMS hoax and some thoughts about it

SINGAPORE : Police have arrested a 19-year-old in connection with an SMS hoax suggesting a terrorist attack in the Bugis area in downtown Singapore.

Police said that since Friday night, a text message was being circulated around Singapore about a possible terrorist attack in the busy Bugis area.

Several callers to Channel NewsAsia also said they had received the SMS.

Although there was no credible evidence of such an attack, Police said they still took the necessary precautions to enhance security in the area.

Police assure the public there is no cause for alarm as investigations showed the SMS was unsubstantiated.

But it is also giving a stern warning to those who perpetuate such hoaxes, adding that they will not hesitate to take action against them

Jude messaged me about rumours saying that there might be a possible terrorist attack at bugis.

Suddenly, I was thinking into space about what may happen to my family, friends and Isaac.

I visioned many people crying on the steets with exploded body parts everywhere in Bugis. Some evil people were stealing some of Bugis's street bags, clothes, qi paos and sex toys. It was a chaotic scene whereby the shop owners of Bugis street have to take care of their bloody sales assistants and at the same time prevent theives from stealing whatever that were left in their store.

Bugis Mrt Station and City Hall Mrt Station were filled with policemen patrolling around. Soldiers were dispatched to Bugis.

Isaac who was beside me holding me tightly in the train had received a phone call from the headquarters about an operation. He has to leave immediately. Whether to fight with the terrorists or search for unactivated bombs, I was worried something bad would happen to him.

I told Isaac that I have a feeling he will die before me. He said I was crazy, but these few days I kept thinking he might leave me.

I know he won't leave me spiritually but physically.

I am scared, I am afraid I can't find somebody else like Isaac again. He has changed for the better because of me, he would do anything and give in to me as long as I am happy. When I cry, he will cry with me, because it hurts him when I am feeling sad.

The people around me, can they don't die at all? The unpredictable future irritates me because I really want to know when my loved ones and friends die. I want to get prepared to shower them with love and joy into their life before they leave me.

This is stupid but I really want to thank that 19 year old cockster who started the SMS hoax, I needed that vision and reflection about life and about cherishing the people around you.

2nd valentine's day date with isaac

On 14th February, I made a heart-shaped strawberry pizza for Isaac. I baked the dough with tomato sauce first before adding ham, mushrooms, capsican and pineapples.

I baked it again 1 more time before adding strawberries and cheese.

Baked for a another few more minutes to get the perfect heart-sheapped strawberry pizza!

I failed at doing biscuits. I tried making biscuits for last year's valentine day's gift but my mum's oven doesn't have the right heat and temperature to bake those biscuits, hence the biscuits were soft and chui.

Will try baking cookies or muffins next time, as I heard that the success rate is quite high, haha.

I used a Ferrero Rocher cover box for the pizza. Decorate it a bit there and here and cover the Ferrero Rocher logo. haha.

My 2 gifts for Isaac. A pizza and a Goldion wallet. After 20% discount from Tangs, I bought it for $60!

My dress for Valentine's Day! I had this dress since last year, but it was my first time wearing it. =x

Isaac came to my house with the roses and gifts, my parents were quite surprised =)) My father asked me why youngsters are so hyped up about Valentine's Day. I mean it is true that everyday can be a Valentine's Day, but since Valentine's Day has a beautiful history behind it, it is just an opportunity to express each other's love on this special day. It is no longer awkward holding a bouquet of flowers when you see many couples holding onto one too.

Gifts and flowers. Actually not only Valentine's Day is a romantic opportunity, it seems like a commercial hype too. It's the one day of the year when even the most mediocre of restaurants will be booked to capacity and roses sell for at least four to five times their usual cost. Movie slots are all fully booked even before Valentine's Day too. This is the day when lots of money are generated, but I don't think it can affect the economy.

After watching so many videos about conjoined twins, I really respect them for being able to tolerate each other's differences. Lots of frizzy like pubic hair are growing underneath my bunch of hair. DISUGSTING IS THE WORD TO USE!

My parents still prefer my old hair because they like curly hair, they are rather traditional hence I can understand why they like curly hair and not rebonded hair. But sometimes curly hair is hard to maintain, on bad hair days, IT SUCKS BIG TIME, on good hair days, my hair looks naturally curly and soft like the picture below.

Why I need to dye my hair? Because half of my hair is copper brown and another half of my hair is black! SO UNBALANCE!

I think I studied too much until I have become an electric conductor or like some mad scientist that has just got a chemical explosion during an experiment. Look at the thousands of copper wirey hair I have.

I have just came back from D'Image at Yishun.

Normal Rebonding that doens't last long and for fringe is $58, there is crystal rebonding for $88 and shiseido rebodning for $120.

I saw many people rebonding their hair. There was one particular girl whose hair looked so straight and silky, I asked the hair stylist what kind of rebonding that girl did, she said crystal rebonding.

Hence I tried crystal rebonding. My hair is weightless now! I feel so carefree! My long thick, messy, dry and heavy hair has now become silky, straight and shiny! The 3 S!!!

After that I dyed dark brown for $75 for my long hair length, initially wanted to dye black, but I think I might look too filipino, so I tried dark brown. My golden hair is now gone, Jasmine the Ah Lian and Bimbo has now become the DECENT AND SMART JASMINE!

I have watched Red Cliff 1 in the past and recently Red Cliff 2 with my university friends.

2.5 hours movie usually bores me because they are rather draggy, but not for Red Cliff 2! My student rate of $6.50 for a good movie, worth it!

I think Zhu Ge Liang(Takeshi) is too handsome, he is already smart and talented, at least find a nerdy guy for Zhu Ge Liang, why Takeshi? If there is such person who is smart, morally-upright and handsome, nearing to perfect, I wouldn't be attached now.

We ate at Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe. Ming yi loves his curry chicken, Yan Jie ordered chicken baked rice, Isabel ate papaya soup with pork chop and I ate Seafood Mui Fan.

Why are we looking retarded? Blame MING YI!

He has a retarded function in his handphone. His handphone is something like iphone, I think it is called the OMNIA or OLDMIA or LAONIA or ORHNI.

That retarded function captures the photo when it detects smiles in the picture. So Ming Yi told us not to smile.

Some how..it was really difficult not to smile because I felt retarded looking calm and waiting for Ming Yi to shout "SMILE" before we can smile.

Shisha with Shi Yun and Felicia

Before Shisha, Shi Yun and Felicia came to my house to take pictures for Tubee Collection 13. They are both great helpers and we managed to wrap up the whole photoshoot during the evening.

We took a bus to Haji Lane which is beside Bugis Street.

This turkish cafe is next to MDS Collections at Haji Lane. We sat on some cushions on a carpet, I love the ambience, layout of the cafe and the excellent customer service!

First time looking at a Menu selling many turkish food.

Please shout OMG when you see these finger food. Delicious food! POW WOW!

We do not know how to smoke Shisha. We chose Green Apple as our flavour.

Blow, and blow, nothing comes out.

We borrowed poker cards to play Indian Poker, Blackjack, Higher or Lower and snap.

We managed to blow out some smoke out of our mouths!

Ah Chew dessert at Bugis Street is damn nice, we went there at around 10pm ++, but it was crowded!

We smoked Shisha from 6.30pm to 9.30pm! Actually I didn't know what shisha is all about, but I wanted to give it a try since Felicia has tried it about 4 times and she said the Turkish food is delicious.

It didn't smell bad and my hair don't stink at all after shishaing for 4 hours. They use water and coal for the shisha, so it doesn't seem bad, looks and smells herbal to me.

Isaac, Yi Ling and Jannah told me about some health issues related to Shisha. Shisha= 8 cigarettes = 1 cigar after I shishaed. haha.

Haha, I didn't know about that or else I will definitely not smoke. But to the people reading this entry, I suggest you all not to smoke but try the turkish food, you may smoke a little but not too much, just get the experience, it is quite fun!

Jude likes to apologise to me and praise me for every small little things I have done.
Yan Jie said more sorries and thank you than anyone else whom I know. I respect him alot.
Ming Yi appreciates whatever I have done and gave me his support.
Isabel is such a kind and sweet girl, her messages for me are always encouraging and she cares alot about me.

Thanks for studying with me and encouraging me for the past semester, I have improved but I can do better. We will be hanging out with each other after school! Everybody should be going home together! Going home ALONE after school is the past, hanging out with great bunch of friends is the future!

Let me talk about something else that has been bothering me.

Somehow I have some close bestfriends who don't appreciate whatever I have done for them.

Tangible items given to them from me: They will deinfitely say a thank you to me.

Intangbile items such as efforts to make a project successful, effort to plan, thoughtfulness: They don't appreciate me at all. Not even a thank you.

When they can't meet up to expectations among us, not a sorry was said.

I took the initiative, I took the 1st step to start the basic platform for all of us to start so that the task will be easier for them.

I don't mind doing all the research on how to plan an outing or how to start a project, but please appreciate my efforts by saying at least a thank you.

Worse still, you criticised, you ignored, you didn't take the initiative, you didn't come up with something new.

I did everything that was difficult and make sure you have the easier tasks to do.

Why is it that most people can't appreciate other people's efforts? Is it really difficult?

I never once complained when I go out with my friends because I want my friends or guests to feel happy.

1. Even if I am feeling tired, I won't say it because there are people who are more tired or you make your friends feel bad that you are going out with them.

2. When I see somebody working hard, I will help the person and ignore my other priorities.

3. When your friends are tired, find a rest place for them. 1st thing in my mind, is their well-being. I ask myself about how they are feeling before I think about how I feel. When I am tired but my friends are not tired, I will go ahead with the plan to make them feel at ease.

4. In trouble? I will think of the best alternative immediately so that my friends need not crack their brain to think of one.

5. When I needed help and I find that problem a little too troublesome for my friends, I will help myself no matter how tedious it is.

6. When I can't meet up with my friends, I will apologise saying the word "sorry, *name" and I take the initiative to reogranise again.

7. Even if there is a need to complain or pass negative remarks. I will say it once and not many times. I will not keep saying "very tired" like 10 times a day when you are out with your friens or saying "leg pain". Tell me once and I will try my best to help you but the more you repeat those words, it seem more like you wanted to leave us and go home.

Maybe I am really sensitive but everyone should be sensitive to other people's feelings.

If you can't be sensitive, just apologise, everybody still respects you.

I just want everybody to feel good around me, if they prefer this way or that way, I follow their decisions.

Barbequeing alone for my relatives and family is no big deal. I am not the organiser but I know I can do a good job to present non-overburnt food for my relatives. Hearing their appreciation and their ravings about the good food, I feel proud helping them cook even though I was sweating profusely and smelling bad.

I grew a few pimples and many enlarged pores after barbequeing for my relatives and also for my orientation group members, but they are all worth it as long as everyone is happy.

Most of my bestfriends are great organiser, they know how to balance their relationships, family and friends and they do appreciate me! But some of them, I didn't scold them or tell them how I feel because they are my bestfriends, I do not want any quarrels to affect my friendship between them.

Seems like I would rather wait for them to realise what is happening around them.

I treat my friends even better than I treat Isaac, somehow I can scold Isaac for not doing things right and things will improve, the mistakes will not be repeated again.

I guess I must master how to express my feelings to my bestfriends.

Met up with Jannah, Felicia, Shi Yun at Orchard for dinner last week. Sorry for Mia-ing these few days because I was out almost everyday, school is starting next week!

Once Felicia shopped with us, Shi Yun will spend over $200 and I will spend on a few dresses! Jannah is the wonderwoman, she didn't spend any clothes!

Shi Yun: 6 bras, 3 panties, many dresses, 1 shoe and 1 qi pao
Felicia: 3 bras and a few panties and 1 dress
Me: 2 dresses!

I love to eat muslim food at lucky plaza! I love the way they marinate the chicken and I love their sambal chilli! My 2nd time eating in Lucky Plaza and I will want to go back to eat the cheap food there in orchard again!

My first try and my last, but I had fun with them as we eat, smoke and play card games from 6.30pm to 10pm! 4 hours!!!

Sitting on the carpet smoking is cool! But addicted to Shisha is not cool! Promised my parents not to smoke again =x

Finally my phone was repaired and I can upload some pictures of these cute children =)) These children either come from single parent families or low-income families.

They are rather lively and carefree, they seemed so happy and some of them never complain about living in a 2-room flats in chinatown.

The 2 day camp at Fair Field Methodist Church.

My Group is called the Lion King =))

They are so happy to receive their toys and gift pack!

Costume design. The model got cut by a scissors and her finger became swollen, one of the kids accidentally cut her with the scissors while wrapping newspaper around the model. She cried but later when she was about to stop crying, I told her, "You are strong! Be strong!" She totally stopped crying and smiled at me =))

3 things they learnt today. I taught them how to spell as some of them do not know how to spell.

Lunch was Nasi Lemak. I realised many children love chilli, it was rather spicy.

This game was quite fun, the kids are told to spell a word by jumping onto the letters.

He was actually from another group, but he was really naughty. He kept screaming and interrupting the facilitators. He ran towards me and I held onto him and played with him, so that he can stop screaming and disturbing the leaders.

I have to kept humming some nonsensical songs to him and he would stare at me under my arms sitting down. I shook my leg to shake him a little while singing, finally he calmed down. He wanted me to carry him but I can't carry him for long because he was heavy. Carrying him and singing nonsensical songs to him was really tiring haha but he was happy, so I was happy too =))

Woke up at 2pm today as I slept at 6am in the morning, went for countdown at Marina Barrage, later to Hooters at Clarke Quay with Shi Yun, Hui Ying, Eugene, Javier and Ben. Crazy party pictures uploaded soon when I get the photos from Hui Ying and Shi Yun.

1)Rushed to meet my cousins, Le duan and Yi Ling today at 4pm Orchard MRT, I was late and told them to shop around first.

Lots of shops closed today! BOO~ I wanted to get a dress for myself, but I can't find any! The last time I bought a dress was like 5 months ago! Damn, why am I so fussy!

There is this particular manager who "over served" us, some how I like it but it seems like a bit too much "service".

Everytime he walked past our table, he will smile at us. I just happened to look up and I saw him looking at us. Then he will signal me whether I want my cup to be refilled with water.

He talked some crap to us and we just "laughed" with him. He gave us all the pepper, salt, cheese flakes and tomato sauce. I realised he didn't over serve to other customers.

Somehow the way he served us seems like he wanted to pay for our meals, haha.

I need to rebond my fugly curly hair, anybody knows of a salon which does rebonding for all hair length for less than $100?

2) FUCKING STALKER, traumatised for 30 minutes!

This entry may sound racist and vulgar but I will try to tone down a bit.

My cousins had to go home, so we went our separate ways at around 9pm. I had to go to Isaac's house at Sengkang to pass his younger sister some clothes from Tubee for her to try.

I came out of the red line at Dhoby Ghuat and I need to transfer to the purple line to Sengkang.

When I came out of the MRT, I heard a guy singing very loudly. I turned around to find out who was that retard.

I saw that retard and looked away, thinking and smiling to myself, "what a retard, singing in this crowded area?"

MY TRAUMA STARTED!

I had to walk the stretch of underpass to the purple line and he came walking beside me. FUCK MAN, what is that retard doing beside me.

I should have taken a photo of this stalker who kept harassing me, I went to google online and I found somebody who looks like him. The guy on the left, the stalker looks a bit like him. His chest muscles were bulging out from his tight yellow tee and he was wearing jeans.

Ok, so this fucker came and asked me dumb questions, I kept walking very fast and told him BYE BYE and GO AWAY so many fucking times, but he kept harassing me.

He doesn't look like a local but he spoke fluent English.

My mother told me to buy that alarm from the Police Station too and she told me to go home earlier and not to wear so short shorts.

It was at 9pm and my shorts are not short, so many people are wearing shorts in Singapore, all because I turned around to see who is that retard singing so he came to target me.

I am going to try out this new year eve makeup for Zouk countdown party tomorrow! Michelle the model in this video is really pretty! She teaches you how to start with basic makeup to glamourous makeup. I subscribed to her quite long ago hence I have been watching her all about makeup, learnt lots of stuff = buy lots of stuff! haha

Went shopping alone and bought 2 bras from cotton on each for $10!

I have been wearing cotton on bras for the past few months, doesn't go out of shape and in superb condition, unlike pierre cardin, after washing, the cup instead of a round shape, it turned square and I can never stretch it back to a smooth round shape anymore....

Triump bras are too big for me and rather expensive. Young hearts too childish for me! Sorella still ok, I bought nude and basic bras from Sorella.

Tired~ Packed and cleaned my cupboard today.

Saw a Rolls Royce car.

Supper at Terra Cafe.

Next day on the way to church. The sun was shining directly into my face hence Isaac held his hand to cover my eyes constantly during part of the bus journey to church.

miss darbee. I invented a new dish today and cooked for him. Pasta with chicken cubes, mixed beans and tomato cubes added with italian parsley powder, cinnamon and oregano. A small side dish is a baked potato for each of us topped with mayonnaise and bacon bits.

He also helped to pack my messy cupboard. Thanks darbee!

Makeup fun

I was waiting for Isaac to reach my house before we proceed to watch movie, Yes Man.

While waiting...

I started to have some makeup fun.

My usual routine.

1. Cleanse (Avene)
2. Tone (Avene)
3. Moisturise (Avene)

After that I tried my BB cream (BRTC Jasmine Water BB Cream)! I love the Jasmine smell, I didn't know I smell so good, hahaha. What a great sunblock, moisturiser, concealer and anti-wrinkle agent.

Draw my eyebrowns (Fasio) and eyeliner underneath my eye. (Revlon)

BB cream covers my pimples and blemishes. But I still pat powder foundation over to even out the colour of the bb cream. (Fasio)

Pai seh I have yet to comb my hair, that explains my curly tangled hair. Usually I use grey and black eyeshadow from fasio to make the 3D effect of smoky eyes, but this time round, I used white and pink glittery eye shadow from Estee Lauder.

Peach blusher- Faceshop

Then I try putting on fake eyelashes from Faceshop. OMG..I looked so weird, so I pluck it out with the glue and put mascara from Estee Lauder instead. Maybe I have yet to master how to put fake eyelash, will ask for help from Le Duan and Hui Ying. haha.

After putting so much make up and appear infront of Isaac. He got shocked and said my lips looked very shiny from far and my eye lashes are long.

Isaac: That is not fake eyelashes right?
Me: Nope, I used mascara, are my eye lashes long?
Isaac: Yup, quite long.
Me: Got volume too right?
Isaac: Yup, quite loud.
Me:....

HAHA, so funny!

I think I will just stick to simple make up, haha.

On 25th December 2008, I went shopping with my parents at Robbinson's private sales. I have to "allow" people to step onto my shoes if I want to get from one corner to another corner. There was a 20% off sales and an additional discount for Robbinson's cardholders.

My parents went to find their own clothes but I can't find anything suitable for my age. I saw 1 group of ammas chionging one area of Robinsons. -_-

My father had to queue for 30 minutes to pay up for the items we wanted to purchased. I bought lots of Loreal cosmetics, loreal shampoo and conditoner and some earrings.

Later Isaac ate MacDonalds with my parents and I during teabreak. After that my parents chiong to Metro Sales at expo, they said the queue to the cashier was longer than Robinson's. Isaac and I went off together to Far East Plaza. We saw this stationary float by New Creation Church on the road.

Orchard Road was closed from 1pm to 1am. There were floats on the road and some perfomances by the choir and a group of line dancers dancing on the road.

We ate at Whisk in Wisma for dinner. Service is extremely good even though it is just a cafe. Isaac said good service and food seems better than Terra Cafe, he places Whisk as his 2nd best cafe. 1st is Terra.

I expected something good, but it turned out bad all because of me.

I blamed it on myself because I was the one planning all the things and I expected good results but it turn out that my plan has foiled.

I have been spending alot of time with Isaac Darbee. We ate alot and shopped alot. He bought $100 over worth of clothes and I bought 2 shoes!

I went shopping with Felicia on Monday! With me around, she won't get to spend because I have to help her curb her spendings, haha. So, I was the one buying instead, haha. I bought a bag!

Oh yah, she was supposed to meet me around noon after her school but her lecturer didn't turn up, so she came to my house to slack first before going out. We love to play shockwave games! haha.

I didn't see any nice clothes at Bugis Street nor Haji Lane. It is so hard for me to find a dress that I really like, hence I haven't buy a dress for more than 4 months!

Before I purchase anything, I will think about whether I am willing to wear that dress for more than 5 times. haha.

Haji Lane! It is quiet, laid back and an eye-opener for me. Finally, Felicia and I were able to breathe in some fresh air in Haji Lane after gasping for oxygen in squeezy Bugis Street.

Felicia was lemming for steamboat! So we paid $24 bucks at Bugis Steamboat. Half of the soup was spicy, the other half is normal chicken soup. I drank too much spicy soup so I had a sore throat the next day, haha. I went to see a doctor and I am recovering soon!

I was bloated after eating for 2.5 hours with Felicia! We had lots of fun eating and talking! We talked ALOT!!! woo hoo!

I drank lots of water, so I need to PEE! It is so hard to find a toilet in Bugis, and if you found one, there are many people queuing up for it.

After walking around in Parco Bugis Junction, we went to eat dessert at Miss Clarity Cafe. I like the cozy and "romantic" feeling in this cafe, very relaxing =))

Twilight - a MUST SEE MOVIE

I watched Twilight last Saturday, it was supposed to be officially launched tomorrow but I can't wait to watch this romantic show, so Isaac and I went to watch the special sneak of Twilight at Marina Square Golden Village.

About the 2 pictures above, I think I saw 2 ropes from Edward's back. HAHA. But I don't think I saw it in the movie, somehow they managed to edit out the ropes in the movie.

The theatre was a full house!

This show makes all girls fall in love with Edward, the main character acted by Robert Pattinson. Because Edward the vampire portrays as a gentleman who is charming and romantic to Bella acted by Kristen Stewart. Robert looks haggard in here, but I don't care, I joined his facebook fan club. haha. I like hairy guys! hahaha. Look at his hairy chest! DROOLS....

My previous $2 red bag handle is giving way because I often used it to school, dating and shopping. The bag has decided to give up on me because I overused and "misused" it(carrying heavy items).

Yesterday I went shopping with Felicia and I bought a new quality bag. It is light and material is better.

But what I am looking for is the handle of the bags. I make sure the bag handle won't give way easily. This bag handle has a good grip and for it to tear or give way, it has to go through a bigger surface area in order to tear, haha. Which is it has to tear the whole pocket out before the handle can give way. HAHA, this will never happen!

It was love at first sight when I saw this bag, it is so hard for me to find a bag I really like. WOO HOO! It costs....$40!!! I hope it is a good investment because I was contemplating whether to buy the $90 Topshop bag.

Children's home at Yong En

I went to volunteer at a 2-day camp at a children's home, Yong En. Pictures are in my handphone but my handphone is too stubborn to get itself charged. I am going to repair my handphone tomorrow.

These children are either from low-income families or from a single parent family. Some of them live in 2-room flats.

I was a facilitator and was in-charge of one group.

There are 3 groups. Cheetah, Dog and Lion King. I am in-charge of Lion King.

I have 8 young kids under me. Some are K1, K2, some are from primary 1-6.

We are the number 1 group for best cheer and number 1 for other games. Somehow my group gets number for team work because ...of ME!!!

Haha, no la, they respect me and listen to my instructions. They are rather naughty but they listen to Jie Jie(Me) when Jie Jie talks to them nicely =))

But we lost in a Spelling Game =(( I can't help them to spell but because I have quite a number of k1 and k2 children in my group so they can't really spell correctly. haha.

After that they went to the Zoo!

Day 2, group members were reshuffled to 4 new groups. Some newcomers came and there were 2 particular brothers who were spoilt and they show me and everybody lots of attitude problems.

I know they are young, but everybody co-operates and works as a team, why did they sit at one side and not help their group members?

I asked them and they said that the games are lame and they don't care about winning points.

Other children asked for more points and demand more games so that they can earn more points, you don't bother and you don't want to play?

They made another boy from another group cry by scolding him vulgarities like the fuck word and other hokkein words.

They are only primary 2 and primary 5, where did they learn these vulgarities from?

I only learn about fuck in secondary school. A primary 2 kid already knows what is fuck and how to use those hokkein words.

I don't blame them hence I singled both of them out of the room and talk to them personally. Talking to them like a teacher. Telling them that they are here to make friends and not enemies and alot more about respect and love.

They said something like they don't mind enemies and they like to have enemies. . .

After counselling them, they promised me they won't bully the other kid.

THANK GOD, they stopped and became friends with the kid!

In botanic gardens, 3 of them were playing with each other and laughing away. They played with balloons and chased after them.

haha, these kids, they don't hate people for long. They just want to have fun.

Holding to the hands of these kids wherever we go and seeing them smile, just makes me happy =))

It was my first time helping out in a children's home because usually I have helped in the old folks homes, hospice centres where patients only have a few months left to live and organised games for the intellecutally disabled.

Children home is a new experience for me and I like it! I am going to do some admin work for free at the children's home next week and later help to spring clean the home! woohoo!

An actor has sliced his neck open on an Austrian stage after a mixup with a prop knife.

Actor Daniel Hoevels collapsed on the stage of Vienna's Burgtheater with blood pouring from his neck after cutting his throat with what was supposed to be a blunt prop.

Hoevels, whose character was to commit suicide, had been given a real blade instead of a harmless prop, London's Telegraph newspaper reports.

As he collapsed with blood spurting from his neck, the audience started to applaud not realising Hoevels was not acting.

It was only when Hoevels, 30, failed to get up to take a bow at Vienna's Burgtheater in Austria that they realised something was wrong, the paper said.

"Police are now investigating their own murder mystery drama after refusing to rule out the possibility that the stunt may have been an attempt to bump off the actor by a jealous rival," the paper reported.

Police have been told that the knife had been bought at a local store and are asking if props staff forgot to blunt the blade for the performance of Friedrich Schiller's play Mary Stuart, about Mary Queen of Scots.

"The knife even still had the price tag on it," the paper quoted one shocked police investigator as saying.

The theatre's props manager is understood to have been quizzed by police about the knife, reported Austrian daily Osterreich.

The actor recovered after emergency treatment at a local hospital and appeared on stage the next night with a bandage around his neck.

"If Hoevels had hit an artery or cut only slightly deeper, he would have died on stage," the Telegraph quoted a doctor as saying.

8 things that I am deprived when taking photos for online shop

I have seen many online blog shops with great pictures because they

1. are using an SLR (good camera that can cost between $1300 to $10 000)

2. can afford to pay for studio photoshoot

3. have beautiful outdoor shots because of the SLR

4. take photos of indoor shots of their garden outsitde their bungalow and also posing at their staircase in their bungalow

5. have dogs to take photos with

6. have those spots lights for photoshoot, to make clothes look brighter

7. can afford to hire famous models suchs as Hey Gorgeous Models like Peggy Chang.

8. I don't have those reflector in photoshoots to produce a nicer effect in the photos.

I am deprived of those 8 things above. Let me reveal the place of my photoshoot.

1. I stay in a HDB.

2. I use a family digital camera(I don't own one), Panasonic 8 megapixels. Have you heard of panasonic lumix digital camera? It is not Canon or Nikon.

3. When it is raining, I have to switch on my house light, I don't have any spot lights. =((

4. I am not famous and pretty or tall. Being laughed at 160cm, my university guy friends kept calling me short or they like to tease me about how short am I. I reveal my face in tubee.livejournal to gain the trust of customers, so that they are not afraid that I will run away with their money. Because I personally don't dare purchase from shops with headless models or models wearing sunglasses.

5. My photographer is not an experience photographer, they are either Isaac or Shi Yun or sometimes my brother or father.

6. My poses are always the same. Smile with my hands on my hips. My mother asked why I can't have unqiue or model-like poses. But because I am not a model in the first place so with no training how do I act like a model?

7. Sometimes my photos turned out blur because either I move away or Isaac shook the camera. I don't use a tripod stand.

8. I can't find any beautiful spots in my house except for a piece of wall. No staircase or garden, unless I pose beside my 3 pots of plants at the corridor outside my house. haha.

Many online shops are starting to do studio shoots, they made a huge risk because they are quite famous already. But I have to upgrade too or else I won't be able to keep up with the competitors.

The market is already saturated with online shops. What I mean by saturated? The market has the same amount of suppliers but increasing amount of online shop owners. It is super saturated because many online shops are selling the same thing. Price wars matter now but too bad they can't sell any cheaper or else the suppliers will terminate the contract with you.

Those new blog shops will definitely not do well unless they have those 8 things that I have mentioned above. If you are rich and you want to start an online shop, photos are important hence you can go and buy an SLR, a bungalow with staircase or garden, reflector, spot lights and buy a model. I mean hire a model...

Shi Yun's birthday Game

There is no service charge in hawker centers, hence I don't expect any service but I expect myself to be full after a meal in there.

Mother guilty of kidnapping her own daughter

A British mother was found guilty on Thursday of kidnapping her own nine-year-old daughter, allegedly to scoop the reward money when the girl was found.

The disappearance of Shannon Matthews prompted one of the biggest searches in British history, costing over £3 million ($6.83 million), but she was found safely 24 days later in the base of a divan bed at the flat of Michael Donovan.

Donovan, 40, was convicted along with the girl's mother, 33-year-old Karen Matthews, who is from Dewsbury in northern England. He is the uncle of her former partner.

Prosecutors said Donovan kept the schoolgirl drugged and imprisoned in his flat less than a mile from her home as part of a plan he and Karen Matthews hatched to claim reward money.

During a high-profile publicity campaign led by Matthews to find her daughter, The Sun newspaper offered £50,000 ($113,800) for anyone who found the schoolgirl.

Karen Matthews, who often appeared on television in tears when her daughter was missing in February, told the court during the trial that she was "disgusted" by the allegations made against her.

Donovan said he was scared of Karen Matthews and said he only agreed to take the girl in because he feared for his life. They both denied all the charges.

The pair were convicted of the kidnap and false imprisonment of the girl plus perverting the course of justice after a three-week trial at Leeds Crown Court in northern England.

Judge Richard McCombe told the pair after the verdict was handed down that they faced a "substantial custodial sentence". Sentencing has been adjourned for reports to an unspecified date.

I can't believe that there are such mothers in this world. Would you want your child to suffer for the sake of money?

I have been watching the Little Nonya on Channel 8 9pm everyday. I cried almost every episode because her relatives were very cruel to Ju Xiang and Yue Niang. Ju Xiang was a great mother, hence Yue Niang was a filial and smart daughter.

I love LTA and I don't like inconsiderate drivers

GIVE way to buses coming out from the bus bay or face a fine of $130.

It is true that during peak hours or even NON-PEAK hours, when the bus I was in had to wait for quite some time before the road is clear for him to turn out of the bus stop. WASTE TIME!

Now with bus lane and also the new "Give-way" to buses scheme will reduce travelling time. Yeah! I am so happy.

Lets make the whole world jam with cars so that people would rather take MRT or take the bus since no cars are allowed on bus lanes at certain period of the time.

From NUS to Bishan during peak hours at around 6pm, I will reach home about 8pm or longer by car. If I took a MRT from clementi, I will reach home within 45 minutes.

Peak or non-peak.

MRT travelling time is still the same or maybe even faster during peak hours as there are more trains to cater to the huge number of workers.

I don't mind squeezing with people with body odour in the train, as long as I can tahan it and I am not late for appointment, I am fine with that!

How I wish Singapore is just a place with trains and buses. No more inconsiderate drivers!

The traffic light just turned green, you think everybody can respond that fast? The car infront of me has not made his move when it was green light, you horned at me, so you expect me to crash into the car?
Maybe you want to horn to alert the driver infront of me, but can't you wait for a bloody 5 seconds!

Singaporeans are so impatient.

I hate people who can't signal also, you cut the lane infront of me without signalling, do you know how dangerous is that? I can just bang into your backside anytime.

When there is an accident on the road, many KPO drivers slow down to watch what is happening and when 1 driver slow down, many people behind him will slow down to watch the commotion. Resulting in a traffic jam!

Some pedestrains and I were waiting at the pedestrain crossing, we stopped behind the lines and stare at the oncoming car so that he can stop for us. He saw us but zoom passed us. One aunty was about to cross and he just zoomed past her. She screamed! And some other pedestrains cursed and swear at the driver.

I remember your face, MR BLIND-INCONSIDERATE 50+ years old driver. If you hit us when we were crossing the pedestrain crossing, you will definitely lose the court case.

Enough of ugly drivers, I have seen many friendly and considerate drivers. They are mostly young drivers! Especially handsome ones... haha, jkjk.

When is the last time I shopped for clothes? More than 2 months ago!

After exams today, Jude, Yan Jie, Jian Cong, Kah Kim and I went to Bugis NYDC for lunch and to celebrate Kah Kim's birthday too!

After playing a little of arcade and looking at musical instruments in Bras Pasar, I left earlier for my facial appointment.

I had to wear Philip Wain's shoes, robes(I must go braless) and shower cap. They provide towels too in case you feel like bathing in there.

I was feeling too comfortable by the massages on my face and body until I fell asleep!

Now I look like a mo peng because she squeezed out thousands of blackheads from my face. Where these blackheads came from?

1 hour of studying equals 1 blackhead.

So you can imagine me looking like a dog now with thousands of blackheads.

1. Email my customer about volunteering at children's home.

2. Freelance job

3. Plan Shi Yun's birthday this sunday, but Ying Hui is not free. Hm, I wonder if Felicia would want to celebrate Shi Yun's birthday again, you can make a new friend- Hui Ying! haha, but if you are not free, no problem, I want to make sure Shi Yun loves her birthday celebration.

4. Plan a whole day outing with Isaac to the Zoo! I want to see the White Tigers! A duet with Isaac singing Jason Mraz feat Cobby- Lucky.

5. Type a proposal for this saturday's Orientation Group Barbeque outing.

6. Play a new song with my guitar every few days. Sing and memorise at least 2 songs a day, so that I can join "Don't Forget the Lyrics- Singapore" haha.

7. Download the new Red Alert 3 and play it! I saw my brother playing the lastest Red Alert 3, graphics is damn good.

8. Plan a picnic for my father's birthday on 18th December.

9. Launch another collection in http://tubee.livejournal.com, hopefully a photoshoot with Jude, the professional photographer!

10. Play private server Maplestory. In private server, you can level up till 100 levels just in 1 day. Haha.

I need to gain weight

I have stopped wearing shorts because without a belt, my New Future shorts of size 30 can slip off anytime!

I realised I have lost alot of weight(in engineering terms: mass) ever since I entered into NUS. It is all because of stress!

Just before I enter into uni. I was quite fat, my weight was about 50 kg. Look at Ying Hui's arm and my arm. My arm was twice of hers!

Stress helps to reduce weight!

Now I look like a haggard weakling. I just weighed myself and it is about 43kg!

50 - 43 = 7kg lost.

7 kg lost not because of friction or heat. So where did the 7kg go to?

I thought according to mass conversation, energy cannot be lost but only can be converted.

So what happened to my 7kg?

Assume non-steady flow due to accumulation of mass when eating. When shitting...considered leaking in engineering terms?

Enough of irritating engineering terms, I need to think about gaining weight so that I can wear shorts.

I don't want to look thin, because I don't look good looking thin. ->Stupid answer.

I heard that our boobs will shrink first when we lose weight..I don't want to be a minus A cup please... Please shrink my fat tummy first.

I am going to eat alot after exams. Make me happy and I will eat alot. haha. *hint to Isaac =))

Going to the NUS library 6 days a week from 11.30am to 10pm is a torture, but I have to endure this period of time and push myself to study harder. I do not have enough time to study everything, so I didn't do well for the past 2 exams that I took.

Fluid Mechanics: 1/4 blank.
Thermodynamics: 1/4 blank too because I just started the last 2nd question 15 minutes before the end of the exam. I didn't plan my time well for each question. I am really slow.

Weary eyes. Super shagged in the library.

Why are there so many people against their government?

2 Thailand commercial airports were paralyzed by thousands of yellow big birds laying their eggs outside the airports.

Flights to Bangkok were cancelled. I know of some friends who were stuck in there, I think they have to travel all the way to Pattaya to catch the Jet Star plane home. What a horrible experience and a waste of money.

Thailand's reputation has been ruined because of these anti-government protestors. They are loyal to their King(hence wear yellow) but not the government so why can't the King say something?

Next..India- Mumbai. Reputation has decreased by a 50%. Who wants to travel to a potentially dangerous place like Mumbai?

Singaporean held hostage at Mumbai's Oberoi Hotel killed

SINGAPORE: Singapore's Foreign Ministry says the Singaporean Chinese woman held hostage at the Oberoi Hotel in Mumbai has been killed.

Speaking at a news conference at the Ministry, Director of the Consular Directorate Jai Sohan Singh said they were told at 9:35pm Singapore time that she died tragically.

This was after her husband, who had flown up to Mumbai, made a final confirmation of her identity. She is 28-year-old lawyer Lo Hwei Yen who was in Mumbai on a working trip.

Indian authorities had found her body on the 19th floor of the hotel. The Singapore Foreign Ministry is helping the family to make arrangements to bring back the body.

The Foreign Ministry confirms there are no more Singaporeans stranded in any of the hotels in the Indian financial capital which was hit by coordinated terror attacks on Wednesday night.

115 Singaporeans were known to be in Mumbai either for work or leisure during the attacks that have killed some 130 people.

Meanwhile, Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has expressed his sadness over the death of Ms Lo. He knows the family and had attended her wedding last year.

Upon learning the tragic news, SM Goh went to visit the family who were in a state of shock.

"Unfortunately, what we feared came true," Mr Goh told reporters.

She is young, educated and has a husband. She doesn't deserve to die in that filthy place. Fcked up militants who killed 130 over people and wounded many tourists in the hotels.

What are those young boys thinking? Please go back to school to study and follow what the government has planned for you. Whatever you are doing now is all planned by the government, you have no choice.

So this painter cum actor was beaten up by a prank victim. Served him right?

Jude told me that he fought alot in school when he was young, such as biting people, beating up people in primary and secondary school. E.g. digging out flesh from his friends. He just fought with a Ah Beng who has a wife last year because he slept with a young girl.

Jude looks KIND..but actually he is NOT! He won't be kind to people who test his patience. haha.

I think many guys have fought with their friends, sibling or enemies when they were young. Unless they are the super nerdy and obedient kind. My secondary school life is the most happening time, I weren't involved in any fights but I have witnessed some.

No Ah bengs in NUS..boring...I see muggers and nerds everywhere including me. haha.

My secondary school has many Ah Bengs, I know one Ah Beng who liked me and had a huge gang. My 1st valentine day celebration was spent with him...omg.

He is now either in jail or boy's home because one of his gang member told me in the past that the guy who likes me just "paranged" somebody. I'm not surprised.

Isaac fought with his friends before too!

It was a 3 minutes fight in a toilet settled by 2 groups of people, Isaac's friends and Michael's(whom Isaac has to fight with) friends.

They had some rules to it:
1. Only Isaac and Michael can fight with each other. Other members just watch the show and guard the toilet.

2. No punching of face and groin.

3. 3 minutes of punching and once time is up, no more fighting.

Haha, hilarious right? Everybody fights differently. I fought with my brother when I was young(primary school), both of us use belts, skipping ropes, tissue boxes, feather dusters and canes to fight with each other. We were really mischievous.

These few years, my brother and I are in super good terms, he is my listening ear and he provides great advices for me. We have learnt alot from each other.

Quarrel instead of fighting...

White tigers bite, now cute Pandas bite too

Recently, an incident occurred at the Singapore Zoo whereby three white Bengal tigers mauled a zoo cleaner to death after the man jumped into a moat surrounding their enclosure.

Yesterday, a Panda from a China Zoo bit a student at his arms and legs. The student said this,
"Yang Yang was so cute and I just wanted to cuddle him. I didn't expect he would attack."

So even gentle-looking animals bite too...

Just by its appearance, I can understand why white tigers are violent and dangerous

But, cute hello pands or tarepandas? They bite as hard too? I thought they only bite bamboos...

I wonder if it applies to humans.

Are the violence levels of a gentle-looking person or ferocious-looking person the same when provoked?

Personally I think the most scariest people are the gentle-looking people. They may look kind and graceful but when they get angry, they can be the most ugliest and scariest person on earth. Even uglier than ferocious-looking people.

Anyway, I want to crap something about the incident that happened in the Singapore Zoo a few weeks back...

I find it a dumb way to commit suicide.

Why dumb?

If you want to commit suicide, dying instantly would be the best way to commit suicide. Nobody wants to suffer before they die unless they are masochistic.

This cleaner suffers in many ways.

1. The pain he is feeling when the tigers were mauling him. Every pierce into his skin must be painful.

2. Humilation. If he is a celebrity, humilation kills but since he is a cleaner, a small part of his face was thrown when "spectators" were watching a live slaughter show. Some of the witnesses thought it was a just a show until they saw blood. -.-

3. Struggling to protect his head with the yellow bucket. I think he is contradicting himself, he wants to protect his face from being mauled and at the same time not to show witnesses his face but in the end he still succumbed to his wounds right? I am confused.

So what's up with the spongebob bucket?

I never like people who committed suicide. They are very selfish. Have they thought about their family, friends and loved ones? They are even more selfish if they want their family to clear their credit card bills. LOL.

A girl commited suicide because her boyfriend dumped her, her parents were distraught.

A teenage boy jumps down to death because he fails his exams. He is the only son...

I think whatever decisions you are going to make matters to your family, they are the only one who can be there for you. They are not hypocrites or backstabbers, they are your fans.

Your family has done nothing wrong to hurt you, why did you commit suicide and leave them?

All I need is your sincere support and encouragement for this period of time because I need to study for my final exams, instead you gave me sadness and disappointment.

I know I do not have time for you.

I know I am studying with many guys in the library but they are all my study mates, nothing else. But Isabel has also joined our mugger gang with Ming Yi. Zi Cao and Eugene has also joined in. Really thankful for studying with us.

I know who are the right people to be friends with.

But you don't trust me.

You don't appreciate my love for you. Why must my actions be tangible then you can see how strong my love is for you?

I rejected guys and ignore guys who try to woo me so that I won't lead them on or give them any false hopes.

15 minutes before the NUS library level 5 closes at 10pm, there will be an annoucement followed by some classical music. Finally mugging is over, it is time to pack our bags and GO HOME! "Dats a Wrap!"

So I started miming along with the music. The people infront of me from other tables were looking at me and laughing.

Anyway I hope Analeigh from American Next Top Model Cycle 11 will win the competition, but everybody predicted Mckey because she is more professional. But Analeigh is sweeter and her features such as eyes and lips are bigger! haha.

Crazy moments with my mugger friends

I studied in NUS library everyday with Jude, Yan Jie, sometimes Kah Gim, Jian Cong, Nicholas, Yeh Xuan, and my Orientation group freshies too such as Desmond, Pearlin, Jasmine Chia, Yvonne, Gerard, Wee Hong and Eugene.

To my orientation group freshies and leaders, I will be organising a BBQ session after exams either at my house or at Jude's BUNGALOW HOUSE.

I was contemplating whether I should hold the BBQ at the Public Park just infront of my flat. But there are no taps at the Park to wash our hands or utensils except for a BBQ pit. =(( Unless they have walked to the flat and take a lift to the 11th floor to my house to wash their hands.

Cast your vote? Jude's BUNGALOW HOUSE or my HDB house? Do tell me when you see me in the library? hee.

Jude claims that his house is a condo but a 3-storey condo??? What kind of house is that!?!

My friends are a great bunch of people. We encourage each other, help each other and respect each other. They are simple-minded and carefree. Jude and Yan Jie are the funniest ones. They can make me laugh more than 10 times a day, especially during lunch and dinner.

Yan Jie in Grey and Jude in Black. Yan Jie's laughter is very contagious, I have to stand far away from him when he laughs because he will make laugh until I get a stomach pain. Jude is the most encouraging, helpful and funny guy. His sentences are impromptu but they can turn out really funny. There is always a subtle meaning or a indirect meaning behind his sentences.

They can make me laugh more than 10 times a day, especially during lunch and dinner.
But I think I made them laughed even more than 10 times a day. HAHA.

Jude said, "I am a spark among my friends." Especially during orientation, my freshies were crazy because I was crazy, haha. Actually, I think it is also part of my job to make people feel bonded and happy too. =))

When it comes to studying, we are serious. But definitely we have some funny moments in the library. I treat it like a destressing moment. haha.

Yan Jie saw a sweet, fair, feminine girl sitting near him. He SCRUNTISED her every few minutes. haha. Gerard was there too. I helped Yan Jie write a POST IT Note: Hi, my friend would like to make friends with you." I told Yan Jie I will help him pass it to her. He told me not to pass it to her but you can tell from his face that he really her number. TSK.

The library announced that the library will be closing soon. Yan Jie still didn't ask that pretty girl for her number. So Jude wrote this pick up line and showed it to Yan Jie to use this chessy method.. "Go tell her, the library may be closing, but I am always open" HOW HILARIOUS!

Gerard found out the pretty's girl name just before he left! He is pro... Haha.

Thanks to my friends who messaged or called me to ask about my rib problem, I am so glad that I have many friends who care about me. Thanks Eugene for accompanying me to the NUH hospital and sometimes mugging with me till late at night and take bus 74 back together!

To hear that you are not giving up and your enthusiasm to celebrate spring festival with your family, I can encourage one of my secondary school friend not to end her life. She wanted to commit suicide at the age of 30 years old because she doesn't want to witness the ageing process on her.

Once she sees a wrinkle or any saggy skin on her face, she is ready to jump down. I do not know if her "ambition" has changed because I have not contacted her for a long time. I hope she has reviewed and changed her goals, LOL.

Should it be a good thing that I can have the whole house to myself for the next few days? My brother just went to Korea this morning and my parents are going phuket tomorrow. So I will be home alone for the next few days!

But I still prefer my warm home when my family is around in the house or else I will feel weird without them. Nobody to talk to or laugh with at home... =((

But I will be in the library everyday with my great bunch of friends, the super crazy friends!

I love my parents so much, they knew I caught a cold because I was caught in the rain, they didn't dare pack their luggage just now because they are worried that I will fall sick tomorrow. I assured them that I will be fine, but they still said they rather not go overseas to take care of me.

Haha I told them I am big enough to take care of myself.

My grandmother wanted to come over to my house to take care of me because in the past she would come over to my house to take care of my brother and I if my parents went overseas.

I will be seeing my chest doctor on wednesday myself, everything will be fine =))

Shi Yun wanted to stay overnight at my house to accompany me but it might be a little inconvenient for her because she has no school but I have school.

A MAN frustrated with his stepson's truancy from school and constant refusal to do homework went too far when he caned him about 100 times over two hours last Sept.
The cries of the 10-year-old boy alerted neighbours who called the police. The boy's stepfather, the owner of a hair salon, was arrested.

The boy suffered multiple bruises and abrasions and was warded at KK Women's & Children's Hospital for eight days where he was treated with painkillers and creams.

He was subsequently placed in Sunbeam Place, a home for abused and neglected children, in Choa Chu Kang.

On Wednesday, the boy's 38-year-old stepfather was jailed for nine months for ill-treating him.

He had pleaded guilty to a charge under the Children and Young Persons Act and could have received a maximum of four years' jail and a $4,000 fine.

Even before the hearing began, the man and the boy's mother, who works as a hairstylist, sobbed in the public gallery. The couple married in 2001 and have two other younger children, the court heard.

The man later trembled so much that District Judge Soh Tze Bian granted his lawyer's request for him to sit in the dock.

According to court documents, the boy was scolded by his mother on Sept 17 last year for lying to his teachers that he had taken a spelling test in school.

The mother then handed over two tied rattan canes to the stepfather who struck him on his buttocks, arms and back over a two-hour period.

The court heard that the boy's parents had already received numerous calls from teachers complaining about his misdemenour over the previous two years.

But Assistant Public Prosecutor Puvaneswari told the court that this was not the first time the man had ill-treated his stepson.

He had already received a warning from the police in early 2007 after the boy's teachers noticed marks on his body and made a report.

While the man's lawyer, Mr Lee Mun Hooi noted that his client went overboard with his disciplinary method, he added that it was not done out of wickedness.

He said, 'My client is remorseful and questions himself as to why he behaved that way.'

Mr Lee urged the judge not to mete out a jail sentence but to instead impose a high fine, calling this case an 'exceptional' one after various other cases of child abuse were mentioned.

In sentencing, the judge said the offence related to family violence and ordered the man to also undergo counselling sessions in prison.

The boy's wounds have since healed completely, although he now fears his parents, the court heard.
