I started this thread in STomp, there were many political and social issues raised in many threads, even calling Wong Kan Seng to resign.
Why 4.5 million people in Singapore haven't seen Mas Selamat yet?
I haven't seen him because I decided to stay at home, hee hee. Kiasi. So why 4.5million minus me haven't caught sight of this man?
I saw the news yesterday and I was ranting about why the government is so naive?
There are army soldiers stationed at every tree and lamp post around Bukit Timah. Mas Selamat not that stupid to run across there. There are already so many trees in Singapore, now even green soldiers are needed to beautify the place.
WTF are they wasting so many man resources?
Mas Selamat damn clever, he owns our policeman, army soldiers and other security forces.
I heard over the radio that this girl from Singapore Chinese Girls' School waved at the army officers rooted to the ground. She said they never waved or smiled back at her. OK... but seriously, too many man resources wasted there.
My father said nobody bothers about this wanted man because no reward was issued yet. He said that if the government will reward $1000000(1 million) to the person who knows Mas Selamat's whereabouts, more people will look out for this man.
It is true, we are the typical Singaporeans, don't deny it.
He will even quit his job, drive around and run around in Singapore to find the wanted man. All because of money. Well, I agree 1 million dollars can buy me clothes, houses, cars and many more. I should join my father to find Mas Selamat if the government is willing to give this reward.
If finding Osama Bin Laden will be rewarded 10 million, Mas Selamat, a JI terrorist, the Singapore government should offer a reward too.
Come on, offer reward, then Kiasu, kiasi Singaporeans will work together as a community to find the wanted man. BTW, Don't take the money out from the 2008 budget!
There are other detained JI terrorists, so if Mas Selamat hijacked a bus or threaten to bomb primary schools for the release of these terrorists, Singapore will be in dip shit.
I am not prepared to die for Singapore because of this wanted man, the mistake of not taking full attention of Mas Selamat is not pardonable!

Escaped JI detainee on the loose in Singapore
Mas Selamat, a terrorist detainee, had been taken from his cell to another part of the detention centre for a visit from his family. He then asked to be allowed to visit the toilet, where he escaped.
WTF? He escaped so easily using this no brainer method, yet the police can't get hold of him?
Did a policeman accompany him to the toilet? The policeman went to pee too?
Just like Prison Break, Mas Selamat might have digged a hole in the toilet. Escaped and met his family members who drove him away.
"This should have never have happened. I am sorry that it has," said Mr Wong Kan Seng, Home Affaris Minister.
I can understand Mr Wong but Singapore's security is at stake. I am worried that Mas Selamat will continue with his plan to bombed Changi Airport because my mother is working in there!
She is not an SIA stewardess.. everytime I tell people my mother is working in Changi Airport, they will exclaimed, "WAH, SIA girl ar?"
She is just an officer there.
In the meantime, Mr Wong has urged the public to stay calm and to report any suspicious sighting to the police, reminding that any help given to Mas Selamat is a serious crime.
What if Mas Selamat threaten to kill me if I don't help him? If he wants to borrow some powder, metal fillings, knife or my pillow and I don't give it to him, I will be strangled to death by him.
To prevent this situation to happen, I am going to stay at home today and act like a Kiasi Singaporean(Scared to die).

Moving out to study
I better move out from my house or else I can't start studying.
2ml I am going to study outside. I better start studying properly. I don't know why I don't feel stress. Seems like I am taking things likely... Last semester I was so stress because I was worried of failing my exams.
Means I have to start studying now to make myself feel stress. Feeling stress during exam period is the right mood. WHY AM I NOT STRESS?
GIVE ME STRESS!!!
Gimme gimme, gimme gimme, gimme MORE stress.
BTW... Isaac, his friend and I wanted to set up an online shop to sell clothes. So I was researching about it.. ahhaha. so happy and excited of making business. But I think I should not get distracted by it and continue this business when this semester is over.
I love this dress!
How I wish I know how to make clothes... I will sell damn nice clothes.

Strawman argument
I am supportive of Obama, "Change and Hope". I saw the debate between Obama and Hillary, seems like there are more Hillary supporters. I think she assures her people too much, anyway actions speak louder than words.
What a firm answer. WOOHOO
Change we can believe in. Speeches and solutions work together. Nice one. Seems like many young people supports Obama from the video.

On the way to church with darling
I love taking bus rides with Isaac because I always get to lean on his shoulder. I feel so secure everytime he put his arm around my shoulder for me to sleep or lean on.

Isaac is cuter than me in this pose! AHH, I must train to pout "cuterly"
Pastor Prince told us why we always get illness, disease or sickness. He said every DNA has a piece of plastic at the end. The plastic is like the plastic covering of the end of the shoe lace to prevent the shoe lace from fraying.
It is like our DNA, once the plastic at the end of the DNA disappears, disease and illness sets in.
What causes the plastic to disappear??
STRESS
So Pastor Prince was preaching us to how to feel at peace and to feel calm.
He said that most people will rest after the problem is solved. But we should rest in God's grace during the midst of the problem or even before the problem will arise. So that we can settle the problem peacefully and without stress.
Have a throne's attitude and all problems and enemies are at your footstool. Hee, Isaac and I love today's sermon. I am going to buy the sermon cd for today to let my mother listen to it. Hopefully she can have a positive mindset and experience miracle healing on her leg.
Among all her 8 siblings who always attend church, she is suffering the most because she hardly attend church or rather lost faith in Jesus's grace. She has arthritis and other age-related problems. Hopefully she will be well again.
Bless my father, brother, grandmother and all my friends.
Isaac brought me to Newton Circus for dinner to eat Stingray, Lala and carrot cake. Don't ever go back there again. It is not worth it, they jacked-up the prices because it is a tourist attraction.
BTW. Somebody shot a bubble tea pearl onto Isaac's calf while we were walking out of my house. I laughed for quite a long time. Hm...Isaac's leg is kinda hairless. OOPS=))

The feeling of Bang Sai(Pang seh)
I got pang seh by my friends. I was skyping with my friends yesterday night and we decided to meet today. But halfway through our meeting, 2 out of my 3 friends went to a last minute meeting with their boyfriends and friends.
Sometimes we must set a balance in relationship and friendship. We should get to see your friends as much as you see your boyfriends. But it seems like my girlfriends and I are seeing our boyfriends more oftenly.
Am I losing this friendship with my bestfriends? I have a very small circle of friends already, yet they focus mostly on their boyfriends.
I am willing to sarcrifice time with my boyfriend just to meet up with my sisters. I told Isaac and my friends and I have proven it, e.g. when I reject Isaac's date just to go out with my friends. But did my friends ever do that?
BANG SAI is even worse... we are supposed to talk about some important issue, but didn't get the chance to. They left halfway, while I have to go home with my another bestfriend.
My bloody web cam doesn't work. I tried installing like hell. Yesterday, my friends were skyping me with video conferencing but I didn't instaill a web cam. Now I have a web cam but installation fails.
I want to see my bestfriends at least one time everyweek.
Speaking of friends, I realise I have very small circle of friends. I don't have any more secondary school friends except for my sisters and Wan Xin.
No JC friends at all.
Uni friends..which I think may not last because we are all from different worlds. When I am with them, I feel that they can't accept me. They don't like my interests and I feel some sort of being looked down upon. They are all very clever, I deserve to be with people who have the same interest and knowledge as me. I will feel much comfortable. I don't want to force myself to be mature, intelligent, speak non-ah lain language or fake anymore. I don't mind being the next one to be outcasted from this clique because I rather leave this clique myself when they really cannot stand me.
Clever people think that most ITE people will not make it far. And they don't have ITE or poly friends.
How can I be with this kind of people? Everyone should be accepted. People with tatoos, friends who always go geyland, friends who smoke, clubs alot. I have all these friends, and I never rejected them or ignored them. They show me the meaning of life. You need not be perfect in studies or looks or financial means to be happy, as long as you love being who you are, you will be happy.
With my bestfriends and Isaac, I can be myself. I am the real Jasmine. With other people, seems like I am restricted to be who I am.
I guess there are very few true friends in this world. Other friends are just hi-bye friends.

Urgent Workplace Safety in NUS

A crane at the construction site of Alumni House at Law Link collapsed and crashed into the link way connecting the bus stop to the Business school. The accident happened at about 2:15 p.m. today.
According to Pang See Leong, an excavator operator working at the neighbouring construction site, there were three male casualties; one Malay, one Chinese and one Indian. Two other males were injured.
He said in Mandarin: “If the crane was five meters to the left, I cannot imagine what will happen.”
He said that the crane could have hit the bus stop where the students were.
No students were hurt, according to Ravindran, emergency manager of the Office of Safety, Health and Environment(OSHE).
However, OSHE declined to comment further on the deaths.
According to an eye witness, Kan Foay, a second-year communication and new media and business major, there were four people at the bus stop when the accident took place, and they managed to escape immediately.
“They just dashed out [of] the bus stop before it fell,” Foay said.
Foay was on the internal shuttle bus when he saw the accident.
He also said that some passengers on the bus were quite traumatized.
Second-year business student Suzanne Chin was at The Deck when she heard a “thunder-sound”.
“My friend said that he felt the ground shook,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ravindran also said that the OSHE will make sure that there will be no violation of any construction regulations in within the school.
“The case will be handled by the police, the manpower ministry, and Civil Defence,” he said, referring to the accident.
OSHE said that they will prepare a press release by Feb. 23, 2008.
I am currently doing a project about workplace safety. I should have done on construction sites, there are so many information about workplace safety in construction sites. And today's new is one HUGE relevant example.
I did workplace safety for tunneling about underground MRT lines and deep tunnel sewerage system. Just like the Nicoll Highway inicident. Workers died from falling equipments or structures. Workers also dying from poor-ventiliation of air and toxic air in the underground tunnels. Flooding and alot more...

COUGH. Bad weather!
I am coughing like a smoker who chokes on his smoke now. It must be the bad weather. Singapore's weather now is either very cold or very hot.
At night, the wind is so strong that I sleep with the windows close, opening 5 cm of my window will result in my curtain producing annoying flapping noises. In the morning, I woke up with my body curled up while shivering.
In the afternoon in school, the weather is so hot that oil glands start acting up on my face. I need oil for my damn dry flaky blotchy skin. So much for applying moisturising in the morning, afternoon and night, my face is still so dry that it peels. The shin on my leg is peeling and dry too.
Looking at the weather now..it is going to rain. Fcked up weather. I want to experience spring or autumn this coming June. I wonder where my family will be going.

ARGH..I have no mood to study now with this condition and when I am having a bloody week(girls will know).
I am having 1 week break before my mid term exams. I need not wake up at 5.45am starting on Monday next week! Hurray!
I can't wait to go church this Sunday!
Isaac is having a job interview now, poor Isaac. He is going to juggle 2 jobs at a time to earn more money. He is currently giving tuition to 3 students. And he is going to find a full-time job.
We are saving alot of money, we eat hawker food most of the time. But we love it. Restaurants will be for special occasions=))

Edison and ranting about sex
Edison Chen exits Hong Kong entertainment industry to heal his wounds and commit his time to charity.
It is not wrong to film sex videos between you and your sex partner, but as long as you are a celebrity, or if you are a Singaporean, you are encouraged not to film these steamy videos anymore.
Nanyang Polytechnice Tammy's handphone was stolen a few years back and her sex video of she and her boyfriend was circulated in the internet. She is just a nobody but became infamous because of the sex video.
I almost vomited when I watched the video, I was screaming inside me "SPARE ME!" It was my first time watching a porn video, that explains my crazy reactions like covering my eyes with my hands. Watching a porn video is like watching a horror movie. I don't mind looking at naked beautiful pictures but I just cannot stand watching the process of sexual intercourse.
There are more than a million home-made sex videos in the internet but why did Tammy's sex video became famous? Because she is a Singaporean.
We are so conservative that there are laws that we cannot distribute pornographic materials. What about other countries?

At least he is still a man who takes responsibilty for this actions to protect those victims.
Honestly, I can understand why these victims like Gillian Chung were willing to do anything for Edison Chen. The fact is that he is handsome. Who will reject kisses, hugs and sexual pleasure from Edison Chen? Almost no one.
A few years back I still can remember this handsome US marine man, Daniel Smith, he was jailed for 40 years for raping a filipina. However he said it was consensual sex. Many rumours said that who can't resist a handsome man if he offers sex? I think the filipina was to excited about her night with him that she need to see him again, but he was to busy at work. So she decided to report him for raping her. HAHA, might be true...
I admit I will not reject Edison Chen(if he ever sees me) if I am single but I will never have pre-marital sex because of the consequences I may have to face.
I would rather save my virginity until my wedding night, making love,babies and having a family are what married couples look forward to. In my own opinion(MY OPINION!!) If I attempt pre-marital sex, there is no such thing as marriage anymore. Relationship may revovle around lust and sex, diminishing the meaning of love and respect. There is nothing left on you for him to cherish. If you are against this, take note I did not stop you, just go ahead and do whatever you are happy with.

I had a happy Happy Valentine's Day
Edited: have a laugh at http://www.xiaxue.blogspot.com/ . It was about her screwed up Valentine's Day, she is really funny.
Have a laugh at this video. Damn lame. "Want to Vacuum?" Miscommunications...
I had school from 8am to 6pm on Valentine's day..so wtf. I was beginning to dread Valentine's Day since morning because lectures were getting boring.
Teachers are all speaking alien language because they are either from China or India. It is so hard for me to catch what they are saying because I have to keep registgering every sentence that they said and processed in my brain to understand what they are talking about. The more I am doing these stages, the more I cannot catch up. I ain't a robot. As a result I OFTEN SLEEP during lectures and tutorials!
Anyone has any suggestions about increasing attention span and awakeness in class? I tried sleeping early and it does not work. I eat multi-vitamins everyday too.
I kept sleeping on Valentine's Day because I was working very hard to bake biscuits the day before since morning until evening! Ying Hui came over to my house to bake biscuits today. We made the dough and the icing..but the stupid microwave oven spoiled our biscuits.
Disaster after baking. We realise we are not supposed to bake the icing, haha!
2 batches of huge hearts burnt. About 20% saved... Those 3 hearts on the aluminium foil were saved but they still looked burnt!
Baked 5 batches and now ready to decorate icing on the biscuits which looked like biscuits....
By the way, I didn't know I can buy icing, haha, Ying Hui and I made icing instead, it was a success.
Ying Hui decorated her set of biscuits. By the way HONG XI, her boyfriend was at my house too! WEIRD RIGHT? She is baking for him for Valentine's day but she is baking right infront of him. Where got surprise!?! She is damn funny. They kept hitting each other. LOL.
Hong Xi saw how we bake and the unsuccessful results he said, " He rather not see us bake because the more he sees the more he didn't dare to eat" HAHA.
I deocrated these biscuits for Isaac.
Back to Valentine's day, we gave a surprise birthday cake for Han Sheng. IT WAS A PINK CAKE! KIAT JOO WAS THE ONE WHO BOUGHT IT... she loves that cake so she bought it. But Han Sheng is a man, pink is a nono for man. Haha, but Han Sheng still loved it and thanked us profusely
Chin Huat, my univeristy good friend bought flowers for the girls in our clique. We chose the flowers, Jessleen got a pink rose, Kiat Joo yellow and I had a red rose.
Isaac said he would come to school to find me at 4.45pm, but he said he will be late, so I stayed for the last lecture until 5.45pm. I was overly excited that I did not sleep during Materials Engineering lecture.
At 5.45pm, my university guy friends rushed out with me to find Isaac. They were excited about what kind of surprises Isaac would give me. They thought he would buy a huge bouquet of flowers, they also thought that Isaac will interrupt the lecturer to declare his love for me with flowers halfway through the lecturer, haha.
I couldn't find Isaac outside my lecture theatre so I called him, he said he was outside the building. I saw 2 cars and no one who looked like Isaac. YUAN LAI... Isaac was in a car!! He rented a Suzuki car for $50 for a day. I was so happy. I bidded goodbye to my university friends who saw the surprise Isaac gave me.
Isaac apologised for not buying flowers because the flowers were too expensive especially on Valentine's Day. 1 rose for $20!!! 12 roses for $200 over?!?!
He told me to put my bag at the boot, so I opened the boot and I saw a red bouquet of handmade fake flowers!
I was expecting real flowers, but when I know that Isaac made those fake flowers and wrapped it for me, I was totally in love with the flowers. He stayed up till 3am to twist and turn the wire around the flowers. I was touched, my flowers were damn special, they were not bought but made by my beloved.
He drove to United Square from NUS to eat buffet at Vienna International Seafood Buffet. Did I hear seafood??? AHHHAHAH. I am crazy! The buffet costs $100 in total! All you can eat buffet in 2 hours.
Black pepper crab, scallop, BUDDHA JUMP OVER THE WALL(is it fake?), cereal prawn, rice, kai lan.
frog legs, prawns, crab meat, duck, crab noodles.
MY FAVOURITE!!! Fresh boiled prawns!!!
Shark fin was thick and delicious! Mussels and sushi.
Cocktails. Many different types of cocktail in test tubes.
Many more food! We ate until 100% full, we can no longer eat anymore. There are alot more food which we didn't eat. There is teppanyaki whereby you choose your own meat and vegetables to be fried by the chefs. There are alot of different meat, I love the pregnant fish and Salmon! The fried bean sprouts and spinach tasted like pepper lunch. Haha.
We headed to River Hong Bao.
Isaac is born a rabbit.
I am a dragon, bahaha.
We had a hearty talk at East Coast Park. We saw many couples watching areoplanes landing, listening to the waves and the hustling of the leaves. We talked and laughed until I was too tired to talk anymore because I had 8am lecture that day.
He drove me home and I reached home at 12.15am. Haha, I informed my mother that I will reach home at 12am when I was eating my buffet. What a good daughter, hee.

P.s while typing this at home, I heard a huge siren which might me the Public Warning System. I think to commemorate Total Defence Day on 15 February.

I think people with poor reputation and poor personality always get the attention. Amy Winehouse, Edison Chen, Britney Spears.
When will those singers who worked hard and sang so well be better off than Amy Winehouse? Beyonce, Rihanna deserve more Grammy awards than Amy.

Hello everyone! Happy Chinese New Year! The scandal has been a great deal of hurt for me and the people around me. I was naive and foolish in the past (admitting to it indirectly) but I am already a grown-up now. I would like to thank my manager, company, family and friends for their support. I’m sorry for the trouble that it has caused to the society. I will work even harder and bravely face up to my life in future. "According to HK newspaper reports, the recent scandal has led to many people losing their sleep in their bid to search for the photos. One middle-aged man decided to spend his Chinese New Year searching for the photos.
This 50 year old netizen lives in Fanling together with his wife. At around 9pm last night, he retreated to his room after dinner to begin his search for the photos. Disgrace to Singapore
This video is the 2nd most popular video today in Youtube. ALL americans, africans, chinese, japanese, aussies are watching this video!
He is a Singapore blogger, and he is a disgrace to Singapore because of his poor command of English and his pronounciation. I think all americans think that Singaporeans speak horrible English, there are exceptions ok(Not me but at least I am better than Steven Lim)! He is just a disgrace.
He tried to act childish and rant about Edison Chen is a victim. If Edison Chen knows that Steven Lim is his fan, he may kill himself.

I found "the gurl" who was against me a few days back. She commented on my entry about Edison and Gillian having pre-marital sex.

She said I am an "ah lian" trying to act innocent. She said until that I am against pre-marital sex. I am not against it if you know the consequences and how to face the music.
But I was referring to Gillian who is supposed to uphold a young, sweet and decent image to the youngsters. Her pictures indirectly show her fans that she is not decent, it will further disappoint them too. Anyway, it is her image that is ruined, but hopefully there are die-hard fans who stay loyal to her.
This is not the only case, Vanessa Hudgens's nude picture was also circulating in the internet a few months back. Many parents were disappointed because Vanessa Hudges, who is the actress of High School Musical is supposed to portray a young, obedient, sweet, innocent image took nude pictures of herself for Zac Effron. She is a role model for the kids to follow. But her nude picture ruin this "innocent reputation".
Life has to go on for a celebrity.

Chinese New Year Day 2
Went to my maternal side for Bai Nian. Receive HongBaos and played mahjiong. Too tired to blog..have been coming home at 11pm since CNY.

This is how my brother and I Bai Nian to our parents.
My brother said something like blessing my mother with youth and beauty, she was so happy! Look at the way she laughed=)) I did say that to her too. Anyway all woman love to be praised.

Chinese New Year Day 1
When to my paternal side for Bai Nian. I received alot of HongBaos! Yeah, so happy=))
All my cousins and aunties know about me and Isaac... So I kept getting teased by them.
Yao Yong, my cousin who introduced Isaac to me wore a shirt, he looked very formal and decent. Xiao Shan, Ah Zhu and Ah Mui looked smashing gorgeous. Yao Ming who is Yao Yong and Xiao Shan's elder brother looked abit out of shape...he is obese! (BTW, Isaac worked for Yao Ming too)
I am famous for dancing the indian dance infront of my cousin's baby because when I shaked, the baby will dance with me. Haha. It must be my curls on my hair that attracted the baby.
Alot of good comments on my curls, my family said I suit curly hair. But what I perm temporarily is not curls but RINGLETS. I think ringlets are nicer than large curls.
I straightened my fringe and curled my hair.
Firstly, use loreal hot straightening cream on fringe, spread over the fringe and blow dry it. Use straightener to straighten hair for lasting results.
Secondly, use sculpting foam on the hair for perming. Curl the hair using ringlets curler. For ringlets don't put your fingers through the hair, it will spoil the shape, only for big curls then you can use your fingers to comb your hair.
This is the result for my first try on the first day of chinese new year.
I came back home about 11pm..the curls were almost gone.

I just feel sad for Edison and the victims
I saw 200 new photos of Edison and Bobo, Cecillia, 3 unidentified girls and Gillian.
I thought only BOBO did oral sex on Edison Chen, I didn't know Cecilla and Gillian did oral sex to Edison Chen. It is 100% real because there are so many pictures of them. 200 over...
Gillian's body is now exposed... she is quite flat. She has a pretty face but I think my image of her now is ruined.
Bobo and Cecilla are having problems with their relationships now.
I think Edison must be feeling so bad now, those photos are supposed to be for his ovwn pleasure but now they are all leaked out.

Don't be a celebrity
It is very hard to avoid the paparazzi and the media if they want to know about your private life as a celebrity.
Just like Edison Chen, I think he is very brave to video himself and apologise to his fans and the victims hurt by the nude pictures.

The technician made the accidental discovery that there were several hundred photographs and videos of Edison Chen and/pr more than a dozen celebrities/artistes (many of whom were listed by the media and netizens as prime suspects after the first photographs of Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan and Cecilia Cheung appeared), and he downloaded them onto his own computer.
The informed source said that the technician only intended to keep the material for his own enjoyment. Then one day he invited some friends over to his Ma On Shan apartment to play mahjong and he casually mentioned that he had some "good" stuff to show them. When his friends saw the material, they were astonished and lobbied him to post to the Internet. He did not want to do so himself, because he knew that Edison Chen has his contact information. So finally a female friend agreed to undertake the task of posting onto the Internet. That was how it happened."

How to choose the right maid?
Yesterday's hot news was about a video of maid abusing her employer's 2 months baby. Finally the mother caught this maid red-handed or else she will continue with her vicious actions towards the fragile baby, she might even break the baby's bones because the baby is only 2months old!
Many Singaporeans commented on these shocking videos. It was a little draggy, I spotted some parts where the maid abused the baby. There are 6 parts altogether.
She hit the baby's genital areas, kept pushing it. She grabbed and carried the baby by his arms.
Shake him, beat him, kick him. He kepy crying until she stuffed tissue(I think) into his mouth to make him stop crying.

I know after this incident, some people are afraid to hire maids or either employers will take extra caution about how their maids handle their children or elderly people.
I read from a forum that this man fired his maid after watching these 6 videos because he just wanted to prevent his hardworking maid from abusing his toddler.
I think some people are a little too exaggerated, there are many good maids around, and it is hard to select which one will be a good maid.
I have been taken care by 7 maids since I was born until secondary 3. I love all of them, they were so nice to me.
My first few maids play games with me, send me to school, do everything like what a maid should do. They will cane me sometimes because I was naughty... but I can understand because my mother instructed them to cane me if I was mischievious.
Some of my other maids broke some rules and we suspected that before they left, they stole something from our house. It was some crystals which were expensive.
I love my last maid, Ning, she worked for us for 4 years. I learnt alot of things from her, she read newspapers more than me. Whenever she cooked, I would rush in to help her. We played badminton and many games together. She always called me "Jie, Jie". She was very willing to learn too, she wanted to improve her English so that she can further her studies in Indonesia. Thus, my mother sent her to tuition.
Ning loved doing english homework and going tuition. Even though many students were secondary school students, she didn't mind studying and improving at this age.
When she needed to accomplish some goals back in her hometown, we sent her off to the airport. She told me to check my cupboard as she had left a gift for me. I weeped because it was so hard to let her go when she is someone so close and good to me. She was just like my bestfriend. A patient bestfriend.
I went back home to check my cupboard I saw an HongBao. "For Jie Jie". I opened it and I saw $100 inside! My brother also had $100! She was so generous. Her pay per month was very little, less than $400, yet she still gave us $200.
Actually not all maids are bad, if the employers can understand the maid, , they will help the maid to cope with the chores by instructing them proper ways or shortcuts, then the maid may not do anything bad to hurt the employer.
In this case, the maid might have gotten so frustrated by the baby's helpless cries, so she was out of her mind and decided to abuse her to release her anger.
Judging by the video, I think the house is not properly furnished. Alot of baby equipments are not "updated". Maybe the employers can teach the maid how to pacify the baby by singing a song or giving the baby a pacifier to suck.
But I think the maid is really at fault, she ought to go to jail. If a mother is the one abusing her own baby, I can understand because she may be having post natal depression. Some mothers kill their babies during depression.
I researched about maids and I realise there are many "bad" maids around.
An Indonesian maid was yesterday jailed for 1½ years for injuring a 4-year-old boy she was looking after. The boy suffered burns on his shoulder, thigh and arm after she had punished him by placing a hot iron on several parts of his body. (Straits Times 6 May 2004) (H6)
An Indonesian maid was jailed for 10 months yesterday for scalding a toddler in her care on 19 Aug 2003. Eni Suciana Sukarman, 22, admitted splashing a cup of hot water on the two-year-old girl. (Straits Times 29 Aug 2003 H8)
An Indonesian maid was yesterday jailed for 15 months for attempting to cause harm to her employer's 63-year-old mother-in-law Madam LIANG Aizhu. Ria Rohati Riswandi, 19, had taken a packet of soya bean milk, poured some into a glass and stirred some glue into it before pouring the tainted milk back into the packet on 10 Feb 2003. The old lady did not drink it. (Straits Times 10 Apr 2003)(H6)
A maid pleaded guilty to seven charges of child abuse in a district court yesterday. Aan Andriyani, 24, was caught on camera abusing her employer's four-month-old daughter in December 2002 and January 2003. (Straits Times 25 Mar 2003)(H4)

Happy Birthday Wong Yue Wei Isaac

4.15pm- Take Bus 16 from Somerset Bustop to Kallang Leisure Park which is at 5 Stadium Walk(Going to tell him jokes which I found in forums during the bus journey to make it more enjoyable for him)
4.45pm- Skate for 2 hours at Kallang IceWorld
7.00pm- Head to Bugis Junction by taking bus 16 and transfer to bus 12 or 33 at Geylang
8.00pm- #01-85 Sketches Pasta & Wine Bar (Backup #01-53 Terra Café )
9.30pm- #01-92 tcc coffee connoisseur opens till 1.30am in Bugis Junction (Buy a slice of cake for him and sing a birthday song)
10.00pm- Send Isaac home by taking NEL. (If he insists on sending me home, take 851 from Bugis)
I printed the timetable, bus journeys and funny jokes. But the above plan was kind of screwed up.
I met him at around 5.15pm, he had to wait for 1 hour because I was at the Skin Centre with my family, poor darling. The doctor was so impatient, he did not say whether I have eczema anot or any skin allergies, but just said it was irritation. Then he recommended some products to use to release the redness, itchiness and dryness.
My father fetched me to Somerset Mrt Station. My mother and I alighted. She went shoping while I went to find Isaac.
On the way there, both of us saw a toddler about the age of 2-3 years old crying and walking alone outside Somerset Mrt Station. He was LOST! He lost his mummy! Alot of passer-bys tried to hold him and talk to him nicely, but he was so scared to see strangers that he pushed away the strangers' arms and ran away even further.
It seemed that he couldn't walk properly because I saw him fell when he tried to walk down the stairs. I think he just learnt how to walk because he is so young! When he fell everybody shouted "OH!". The toddler picked himself up and cried even louder.
He scrambled down the stairs onto the walkway. A stranger tried to hold him but he ran into the direction of the road! Luckily an elderly woman held onto him.
WHERE IS HIS MAMA??? How can a mama be so irresponsible to leave her children unattended. You can leave your bags unattended but not leave your children unattended!
I met up with Isaac and he seemed a little angry, because I am always late for our dates. I better improve in this area.
We took bus 16 until Kallang Leisure Park. He saw his ice-skating friends who wished him Happy Birthday outside Kallang Leisure Park, they asked him whether he was ice-skating, he said no. HAHA, because I wanted to give him a surprise, so I did not tell him that we were going ice-skating. I brought socks and gloves for him too.
He said he wanted to see the new ice-skating rink, I brought him there. His friends asked why he was not skating, I whispered to him that we were going to skate.
HE WAS SHOCKED!
NOT IN A HAPPY WAY!
BUT IN A DISAPPOINTED EXPRESSION...
He said it was a nice surprise but he didn't want to skate because his feet were having his blisters due to the new shoes he was wearing and he rather skate with his on Hockey Skates.
I was sad because I know he loves ice skating. In the end we went bowling.
HE THRASHED ME... fine.
